Some things that'd make this great game even better: Overall a very nice game, but they should add a manual control to the characters. Sometimes just looking at the Zombies taking stupid paths is very annoying. A combination of Diner Dash and this game would be really nice. If they fix the CPU priorities on what to do next / what path to take and add manual control to the game it would make a good game even better. Also a nice addition would be to turn chairs and anything else in any direction. I know the limitation comes from the character and artwork design limited to two perspectives, but it'd still be nice. Some random crashes of the game could be fixed as well. ngv1 Member Mar 24, 2010 8 0 0 #5 ngv1, Feb 3, 2011 Anyone know how to add friends? November's Chopin Well-Known Member Jul 11, 2010 869 0 0 #6 November's Chopin, Feb 3, 2011 The only catch I found with this game so far is the IAP of buying more "toxins", which is a rare but essential item. I'm surprised how little attention this thread is getting. This has to be the most addictive, creative, and funny little management game I've ever played for iDevice. This completely wipes out all the other stuff like Sally's Spa and Supermarket Mania, because you can decorate, hire, sell, attack other cafes, cook, infect customers, sort of like a mini Sims game played in real-time (closing the app to get the large dishes cooked in real-time). Really great game so far and I'm surprised it's free. I haven't really had the urge to buy any toxins yet. Does anyone know how to rotate the tables/chairs in all four directions? The game for some reason only allows you to rotate them facing east or south?? And how can I get more stars for the cafe? It doesn't seem to increase at all no matter how many customers I serve. cameron331 Well-Known Member Nov 22, 2010 163 4 18 #9 cameron331, Feb 3, 2011 I'm also enjoying the game, especially now since the game runs in real time while you're not playing. My star rating has been all over the place, from 0 to 4 and a half. Effectively serving customers increases your rating, but more people come as your star rating increases. But since I only have 6 tables my rating falls as fast as it increases. Serving higher level dishes also raises your star level faster I think. I think what's killing my star rating the fastest is when you allow a zombie with depleted energy to continue serving. They don't seem to rest automatically when needed, and they attack a customer when their energy is low. I think your star rating automatically falls to 0 when this happens. Since i've been keeping watch on my zombie energy levels, I've been able to keep a 2 star rating consistently. I think I'll be able to retain a higher star level when I can expand floor space. It's difficult to retain a star rating at first I think, especially since I have to rest one or two zombies (out of four) at a time and only have 6 tables. I haven't been able to move the chairs in all four directions either, which is annoying. I was surprised how much I like this game. If anyone has more tips, let us know! November's Chopin Well-Known Member Jul 11, 2010 869 0 0 #10 November's Chopin, Feb 3, 2011 I was wondering if you can check what version it says in main menu -> help -> about? I recently had to let one of my early Z's go (an accountant) to upgrade to a beefier employee and it was a bit sad since he'd already racked up a nice history of raids and kills. A few complaints: 1. Not being able to face items in any direction. Why does this keep turning up in games? How hard it is to mirror the art in two more directions? 2. No way to close the Cafe. Even if you're out of food and all your zombies are in the process of reanimating customers keep coming in, getting upset, and leaving. 3. Zombies don't listen. You can supposedly give them some directions but they usually don't bother doing what you tell them. 4. Overdependency on Toxin. I can clearly see that I'll never be able to get some of the better employees because they cost too much Toxin to infect. I'm hoping that eventually I can find enough Toxin through raids (I think I've found about 2 so far) to get ONE good employee that costs about 10 Toxins if I never spend it on anything else. Yes, they have a right to make some money on the game but the stinginess level is a bit too high I think. 5. Crashes a lot. 6. Decorations assume you want a clean looking restaurant. You start out with some dirty, cracked, stained parts in your restaurant but there's no way to buy more of these, only to replace them with shiny new parts. It's a ZOMBIE Cafe, why can't I make it look like one? November's Chopin Well-Known Member Jul 11, 2010 869 0 0 #13 November's Chopin, Feb 4, 2011 Those are exactly my complaints as well. A few others: - Restaurants take way too long to re-open after they are attacked and foods take way too long to cook, there's little to do otherwise because you have no toxins (therefore unable to cook any food), all zombie waiters automatically serve, and decorations are way too costly - Why does each dish give the same profit?? The basic "mystery meat" gives the same $3 per serving as the level 5 dishes, wtf? How in the world can one rack up money if it takes like a whole day to earn less than $1000? - Why are there no descriptions for each purchasable item? What's the difference between a white table and a red bar table that costs 3 times as much? What does a toxin pool do if it costs 50 toxins? - The zombie employees limit is too low, you should be able to infect more people - There should be a different method of selecting zombies, it is very hard to tap them when there are many people in the cafe and tons of furniture in the way - There should be a different method of scrolling around the screen for the iPhone; it is very hard since sometimes I accidentally move furniture while trying to scroll around the screen. Or simply the game could zoom out more to fit the whole game into the screen 5th World Well-Known Member Sep 15, 2010 192 0 0 Brisbane, Australia http://www.5thworldmedia.com #14 5th World, Feb 4, 2011 I'm surprised how addictive this game is too! I love the real time game play. Having set up two zombies serving, an 8 hour dish cooking and two zombies resting when I packed it in to sleep, to find when you wake that the cooking is done, all the food is served and its time to change the zombie shift, I am really enjoying this game. When setting up the restaurant, I started by putting 2 chairs on the one table, then found out that was pointless because only one patron could eat at a table I made a heap of mistakes at the start and lost all my toxins Is there a way to recover Toxin? I have made a few raids and found none. Inviting Facebook friends seems to be a way to do it too, but none of my friends have accepted yet. Great game, but its starting to take out of my work time. Not so good. lol November's Chopin Well-Known Member Jul 11, 2010 869 0 0 #15 November's Chopin, Feb 4, 2011 No way to get toxins other than doing raids, or spending $ to buy from Capcom (really really really really expensive, like $50 for 500 toxins, wtf? You'll spend the 500 toxins in like 5 days if you play at a regular pace). If Com2us IAPs were bad then this is absolutely terrible. r0cky Member May 17, 2009 9 0 0 #16 r0cky, Feb 4, 2011 Why would you spend so much toxins? You have to see it as an addon, not as a need. Sure you could argue that you have to use it to buy some stuff, but keep in mind the game is free and they somehow have to earn some money. But I have to agree they could make the toxin income higher than it is now. Also I updated the spreadsheet with all the prices and income and some statistics for the meals: https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0ArKT_WXxa_M4dDlwLWNzVXdyS0VLdmc0T0E3ektxNEE&hl=en&authkey=CLnCo8oB eudy91 New Member Feb 4, 2011 3 0 0 #17 eudy91, Feb 4, 2011 Can't visit friend's cafe HELP!?!?!?! November's Chopin Well-Known Member Jul 11, 2010 869 0 0 #19 November's Chopin, Feb 4, 2011 Because without tons of toxins it would take like a whole day just to cook one dish. Anyways I don't know if it's a bug or what but how come there are always only 4 neighbouring cafes no matter what level I'm at? There were like 4 at level 2, now there are still 4 at level 7. It seems some cafes simply get replaced by other ones and you'll only ever have 4 at once. I know I'm missing at least one level 5 recipe as a friend got it from attacking a level 4-5 cafe, but now there aren't any level 4-5 cafes anymore. The "time for reopening" is also completely inaccurate. It was around 16 hours to reopening yesterday before I went to bed, this morning I checked it was like 21 hours, wtf? dboeren Well-Known Member Jan 7, 2009 119 0 0 #20 dboeren, Feb 4, 2011 As you gain levels and successfully complete raids you should get access to more recipes. Especially with the raids, select "unlock" instead of "serve" to gain the ability to cook that dish. At your level, Handburger & Flies takes 5 hours and Meat Lover Pizza takes 2 hours and produces a decent serving size. I'm mostly making pizzas and then running something longer overnight like a 12 hour dish. The crashes are getting on my nerves though. Just now the game froze at the point where I won a raid. I had to close the game, and when I got back my Z's were hurt from the raid but I never got any rewards. The cash is minor, I mostly want the food and a minuscule chance for a toxin.
