you have to understand that when you make a game free, (we are talking about ninja chicken right?) we're talking about cheapskates who didnt buy your app in the first place. therefore, chances of them getting the IAP is much lower than on a payed game. (i think)

Exactly. like me. Downloading your game right now.

  4. Put more iap options in such as art or whatever, it may climb a bit. (Currently there's only one iap option)

80k. that's completely sick (in a good way)

don't sweat the IAP right now and just ride the wave. if your game is really good, the most important thing you want is to get people talking about it.

I can only say that I did not know it had any IAP until I read this post.

Ouch, that sounds tough. What have been the total downloads to the total In-App Purchases?

    Add. to the above:
99% of all IAP sucks anyway. And unless you build your game around it like Seed or certain Farm games, IAP will be underwhelming. But these games I donĀ“t buy in the first place, no IAP anyway.

I really spent a lot of money on Apps but from the dozens of Apps (I have) that offer IAP, I only bought 2, plainly to support the developer. Not for the content.

Just my 2cents. Enjoy your downloads! :)

But to be on the positive side, since I could try the game for free (and I did not know it before appshopper showed to me) ... I am now looking at the the one you just released.

As for the IAP of the current .... even now that I know, it is unclear what that is. And, thus, I am more inclined to buy the new game than the IAP.

Hope this helps even if is just one person feedback/impression.

Can you make the game end at a certain point and requires iap to continue (sort of like adding quarters)?

It seems like that's the best way to get people to pay money. I can't see myself paying for unnecessary items like new costumes and things like that.
