Not sure I'd want to shell out $5 for it though. It's a great nostalgia piece but it's a bit long in the tooth even for that now. RodmanSan Well-Known Member Oct 7, 2010 396 0 0 Project Management Architect E-Troid, the Netherlands http://www.oldskoolnl.nl/ #4 RodmanSan, Nov 2, 2010 I would love to have this app for the same reasons FPE and Minfield are having....but i find the price also on the high side. Well....gonna put it in the wishlist...and wait till the price will drop. Ouisch Well-Known Member Dec 3, 2009 845 0 0 #5 Ouisch, Nov 2, 2010 Well, if I had an iPad, I'd easily shell out $5 for this. However, what would hold me back is that they still haven't fixed the horrendous timing issues on the iPhone/iPod version of the app. Anyone that knows Dragon's Lair well enough and picks this up, please let us know if the move timing seems correct or totally broken. I'm hoping correct.. that might mean they're actually still working on a patch for the iPhone version (it's been 3 months). pka4916 Well-Known Member Jun 6, 2009 2,584 0 36 Male Wisconsin #6 pka4916, Nov 2, 2010 Getting sick of the people that make a comment "If I had an Ipad", "Wish I had an Ipad", "Don't have an Ipad but..", "Gonna buy an Ipad soon". Why do you all keep complaining about things, if you don't have an Ipad. Am I the only one who thinks it's annoying ? CzarCastic Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2010 2,164 0 0 Michigan http://www.8bitbrigade.com #7 CzarCastic, Nov 2, 2010 Yes. It's not really complaining, especially in this case. Ouisch Well-Known Member Dec 3, 2009 845 0 0 #8 Ouisch, Nov 2, 2010 Where did I complain exactly? My post was more of a warning to iPad users that the iPhone version of this app still isn't functioning properly after 3 months, and a solicitation for information from any iPad users that may have already bought the app (and that know how Dragon's Lair is supposed to work) as to whether the iPad version still has the same problems the iPhone version had. Calm down. jmelrose Well-Known Member Dec 2, 2008 214 0 16 Teach Central FL #9 jmelrose, Nov 2, 2010 Just as a warning I am getting a black screen and freeze every time I die. It makes for a more realistic but ultimately frustrating game. Very interested but a little hesitant with no reviews yet. buzzard Well-Known Member Aug 10, 2009 144 0 0 San Diego #12 buzzard, Nov 3, 2010 Good one jmelrose Well-Known Member Dec 2, 2008 214 0 16 Teach Central FL #13 jmelrose, Nov 3, 2010 Thanks. FYI I am still having the problem. Restarted the iPad. I am running 4.2 so maybe that's the issue, but at this point the game is unplayable for me and useless until an update is posted. Anyone know how to contact the dev? Are they active on the forums here? Ouisch Well-Known Member Dec 3, 2009 845 0 0 #14 Ouisch, Nov 3, 2010 I've never seen them on the forums, but try [email protected]. I've had some correspondence back and forth with them before and they're always pretty good at responding. jmelrose Well-Known Member Dec 2, 2008 214 0 16 Teach Central FL #15 jmelrose, Nov 3, 2010 Ok thanks! I've sent them an email. andsoitgoes Well-Known Member Jun 30, 2010 2,673 58 48 In a van, down by the river! #16 andsoitgoes, Nov 3, 2010 ugh... $5? I'm getting tired of this. The iPhone version is frickin' $0.99! I know, whine whine updated to ipad whine whine shouldn't be $5 whine whine... but seriously, $5? Maybe if this comes down in price or I really want to experience the timing frustration of this game on the iOS devices, then I'll pick it up... but at $5... sigh, no. Ouisch Well-Known Member Dec 3, 2009 845 0 0 #17 Ouisch, Nov 3, 2010 Well, if it makes you feel any better, the timing on the iPhone version has been completely borked since the iOS4 update, and after 3 months we're still waiting for a promised fix. Though, to be fair, I honestly have a funny feeling that EA (publishers of the iPhone version-nothing to do with the iPad version apparently) are more to blame for that than Digital Leisure (devs). Either way, I'd rather have a working version of Dragon's Lair for $4.99 than a virtually unplayable one for $0.99. Also, the iPhone version was $4.99 when it first came out as well. It's been on a perpetual $0.99 "sale". ScbyPwr Member Oct 27, 2010 13 0 0 #18 ScbyPwr, Nov 4, 2010 Any idea when 4.2 releases to the general public? pka4916 Well-Known Member Jun 6, 2009 2,584 0 36 Male Wisconsin #19 pka4916, Nov 4, 2010 I'm wondering about that too for the update. Was reading somewhere about next Tuesday, but you can only hope. jmelrose Well-Known Member Dec 2, 2008 214 0 16 Teach Central FL #20 jmelrose, Dec 21, 2010 New updated is posted. For some reason it isn't showing up yet in my update queue. Maybe it's due to me contacting iTunes for a refund after having to wait so long for the update... Anyway, for other brave souls, it's out. Hopefully this version will actually work. It was interesting they blamed the problem on 4.2 when the game had issues before 4.2 ever came out. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
