I have got a question of my own on app sharing, so I'll borrow the thread... My father recently bought a 3GS. Yesterday I transferred some utility apps and a couple of games on his phone from my Mac. I know that I can activate my account on up to 5 computers and that I can sync multiple devices on a single computer, so everything should be fine. My question is, will he be able to download updates for these apps directly from appstore on his phone, by simply logging in my account? Does logging from a different phone decrease the number of machines on which I can activate my account, or will it actually decrease only once he does so from iTunes on his PC? Sorry for the somewhat confusing questions.

How'd it go, starmonkey? You have a shot.....I got assassins creed 2 partially refunded because it was lagging a lot. You are certainly not going to get 70 bucks back....and it really isn't Apple's choice whether to give the refund or not: it is up to the developers. Big developers will likely not even bother with your claim......but you may get some money back from smaller, more caring devs like Donut Games or Venan. It depends on how generous the devs r feeling. good luck
the moment we have all been waiting for. apple emailed me back and understood my dilemma. but they were unable to refund me back that amount of money. they were surprisingly nice and helpful. very very nice. they gave me 5 free songs which is cool. here is the entire message for anyone who was wondering.
