Well... Thanks for being one of the only ones to give positive feedback. I'm gonna give it a shot anyway. And I will update y'all what happens I guess.
Well, refunding something because it doesn't work/is broken, you bought it accidentally or of course because iTunes/Appstore labeled it wrong is okay - asking for a refund of some x months old games because you found out you could use the games of your brothers account is just plain wrong and ridiculous.
Seriously, you don't deserve positive feedback. This whole idea is STUPID and a perfect example of why many companies aren't willing to work with you when there is a legitimate issue. It is YOUR job to read up on what you are buying and any rules regarding multiple devices. You can't ignore it for months and then release you could have jsut used your brother's games and ask for a refund. It is stupid and embarassing.
Do you honestly not see the idiocy of your claim? Explain why you feel you are "owed" a refund? What did Apple do to you that makes you feel like they should fork over $70?
this is what i will say hey apple. my name is ben s. i am a 15 year old and i own an iphone... so i have this thing that is bothering me. i got an iphone in december 08 and my little brother got an ipod touch in april 09. i have spent $242 dollars on apps and my brother about $150. most were from itunes credit. we both like the same kind of games and often we buy the same games. but today, we found out about home sharing and now we know we can buy only one game and play it on multiple idevices. so we transfered a few of out games that we had not bought yet (but wanted) to each others idevices, but realized that we had wasted a ton of money buying the same games in the past. a total of approximately $70 of the same games. so my question is, would you mind refunding my brother and i some of that money. i know this is a bold question and you guys didnt do anything wrong (it was our faults for not knowing), but what is that money to the apple company really? $70 may not be that much to y'all, but to us, it is a lot of money. my apple id is ... and my brother's id is ... i am really sorry for bothering you guys bout this, but it is bugging the living crap out of me. also, can i make a request, stop putting all the bad apps in the app store. it is really crowding up the place and the devs hate it. once again, thank you so much for reading this and i hope you can see it my way. if my request is impossible, may i at least receive a response back telling me so. thanks for listening ~ben (i know this is bold, but it may work)!
not really (http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/appstore/us/terms.html) 2. AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR USE OF THE SERVICE. This Service is available for individuals aged 13 years or older. If you are 13 or older but under the age of 18, you should review these terms and conditions with your parent or guardian to make sure that you and your parent or guardian understand these terms and conditions. 12. DELIVERY OF PRODUCTS; REFUNDS. b. Refund Policy. On occasion, technical problems may delay or prevent delivery of your Product. Your exclusive and sole remedy with respect to Product that is not delivered within a reasonable period will be either replacement of such Product, or refund of the price paid for such Product, as determined by Apple. Otherwise, no refunds are available. don't think you have a chance sorry.
They have no reason to give you your money back, but if you act pissed and threaten to sue, they might comply. Sure, your claim makes little sense, but acting enraged and unreasonable might just convince an employee to give you the money anyway, so they don't get in trouble. Although those types of things mainly work with face to face encounters.
Not with the informal letter they won't. Tip, try to write the letter as if you were writing an essay for english class.
I dont think they will give you $70! afterall, sorry to be mean, it is your fault. You could have just shared your idevices with eachother when you finished with a game the other one plays it. I'd say you could get away with a couple of refunds each, but not the whole amount. To get a refund: go on iTunes, click you user account, go to purchase history, click report a problem on one of the apps, you are taken to a new page where there is a dropdown menu with multiple selections, choose one relevent to you, write a message describing your problem but remember to e really polite and say 'please' and 'thank you' in every sentence!!
Absolutely. Apple doesn't owe you anything. I know you said you're 15, but stop being cheap. What's next, people asking for refunds on games they've pirated?
lol, thats really a hilarious post. At least as hilarious as the OP. thats why i visit sites like this so often.....real life comedy
