So I got a 64 from the apple store as a secondary device earlier today & just now had the chance to spend some time with it..... This thing is snappy!!! To coin another members phrase "it's like lightning with wd40" the only lag I've seen so far is when I closed the app store while loading a search & even that was almost no lag at all. I was considering the touch over a new 3G S, as my 3G is getting a bit worn. However I'm JB'ed 3.0.1 so i'm not ready to update just yet. (been hearing some slight issues) if you wanna start some (god I hate this word ) impressionable post on the 64 or new iPod here's a good thread. (if one hasn't yet been started, I got excited) I personally think it's faster than my GF's 3G S because there is no network to contend with...however when I play her phone I put it in airplane mode shhhh that's a secret
I've heard some unvarified reports of people successfully JB'ing 3.1 With redsnow 0.8 but cydia did not appear after the process. They state that they just updated to 3.1 & used the 3.0 ipsw. So they device was unjailed it just didn't have an installer which you need to load framworks. I haven't tried it yet....I'm gonna wait for an official release. I already have a JB'ed iPhone 3G anyway
