    I risk sounding stupid here, but I don't get the tongue map part. They say they're debunking the pattern shown in the picture, but then say it's a map? That's... almost the same thing right? Different areas of the tongue having different strengths and weaknesses? Or is it just the specific labelling/layout of the pattern they're debunking rather than the idea itself?

    Basically we were taught that for example, the tip of your tongue is the one that tastes sweets but you can taste sweet no matter what part of your tongue makes contact with something sweet.
