So with rumors of the iPad 3 and everything, I've been doing some thinking... does anyone else think (or maybe hope in vain, like me ) that the 5th gen iPod touch will be released with the iPad 3? Has anyone heard anything about a 5th gen? Because everyone knows 2nd gens are kinda getting behind with all these new games...
Given that the iPod Touches got next to nothing done with the 4S release, I wouldn't be surprised if they were slowly being phased out. Get more people to buy an iPad. If they come out with a 7" iPad, then it's definitely gone the way of the dodo.
If it ever would be released, I would seriously hope they'd let it have more RAM... =/ so many crashes with 4th gen
Sounds possible. Maybe apple was finding it hard to manage supplies for both iPhone and iPods launches in the same quarter and considering they sell every iPhone they produce in holiday quarter, it makes sense to use the newer components in iPhone only as that generates a hell lot more profits than iPod touch. Now that the iPhone demand/supply is under control, apple can easily manage to put the newer CPU/GPU in the iPod touch.
