Has there been any news about upgrades in this year's iPod Touch? I'm finally upgrading this year and am curious on what's been confirmed.

Haven't heard any news at all, I suppose almost everyone has an iPhone 4, iPad or iPod Touch by now. Guess the market won't be as big as it used to be with the Apple's mobile products.

nope, hasn't been much news, but most agree it'll probably be a spec bump

My best guess based on various reports online is the touch will get the a5 arm soc (basicly dual core) probably slimmer by about a few mm knowing apple.

The curved glass rumours I don't like the sound off at all I really do believe apple is trying purposely to make the things more breakable each version but I actually Imagine the whole case will be glass and curved together maybe a really thin bezel.

Battery wise they will claim the same life but it will be a smaller battery because apple is obsessed with making things thinner it will probably get the same life until you start gaming then I expect it will only have about half the life of current devices.

Probably only 64gb storage again although I'd be very happy if it was more, seems unlikely now with the ipad2 only getting 64gb still I think ram will remain low at 512mb as well but thats actually a boost for the touch.

I know I sound negative in my predictions but thats what I see happening and I'll end up buying it myself although if I'm right about the design not without a really tough case.

If it gets the dual core a5 and the 512mb Ram ill be pleased....though my iPhone 5/4g/4gs/5s w/e the **** its called better have triple core processor with 1gb of ram, and a double retina, yes, a DOUBLE RETINA, screen...im talking 1920x1280 Resolution dammit! Packed into a 4 - 4.5 - 5 inch screen, any of those would suffice...you know what...for shits and giggles, why not make it an i7 or sandy bridge processor? that would be cool.

I don't know of anything confirmed, but I do know I'm upgrading. I wonder if I should just buy the 4th gen, or does anyone think I should just wait until teh 5th gen?

I'd hold off until apple actually shows us something about the only thing you can really be certain of is it will be a lot more powerful. Don't take anything I said in the above post put you off I'm just making wild guesses based on the Ipad 2 and rumours.
