YUMMY! how about being able to draw a moat on the screen (with your finger ideally, but just a predetermined one would be fine too), and filling it with some tar, or alligators/etc, or fuel, that you have to buy of course, and once the aliens go through it, it slows them down (tar) and/or damages them (alligators), and there's a 30% (or more depending on fuel types) chance they burn when hit with bullets (fuels)
