General Rules The following competitions run exclusively on the Touch Arcade forum until March 1 2012. Other websites, however, may link to this thread. The competition becomes invalid and void should this thread be deleted or moved before March 3 2012 by others than forum user orbitluna, or if this thread becomes inaccessible before March 3 for any other reason. The prices are delivered as iTunes Gift Certificate codes. 2 x 10$ High Score Competition 10$ is the reward for the highest score in the missions “Missile Range” or “Asteroid Alarm”, each, in Orbit Luna (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/orbit-luna/id484677755?mt=8). The score must be submitted to Game Center by March 1 2012. Orbit Luna submits scores whenever the main menu is visited. The Game Center nickname with the highest score will be determined on March 1 2012 at midnight to March 2 Central European Time and must match a forum user name registered before February 29 in all alphanumeric characters not case-sensitive (Fighter-x77 would match fighterX77). The winners must claim their prize with a post to this thread. One participant can win both prizes. If a high score is not visible on its leader board due to a technical failure (for example but not limited to Orbit Luna, cell phone or WLAN connectivity, Game Center functionality), it will not be considered. Orbit Luna 50$ + 25$ + 10$ Trailer Competition Three movies illustrating the Orbit Luna (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/orbit-luna/id484677755?mt=8) gameplay, produced on an iPad, digitally filmed, and published on YouTube will be rewarded with 50$, 25$, or 10$. A winning movie must meet the following conditions: Total length of 1 minute and 30 seconds +/- 5 seconds. All five campaign missions must be covered, “Multiplayer” and “Arcade Game” can be shown but are optional. “Lunar Navigator” must be played through uncut in not less than 15 seconds. “Orbit Insertion” must feature all voice acts clearly audible but may be cut where silent. “Missile Range” must feature a triple combo and must be covered for at least 15 seconds. “Asteroid Alarm” must feature at least four impacts. “First Contact” must feature all voice acts clearly audible from first report of “under fire” but may be cut. The last five seconds of the movie must show the Orbit Luna app logo and the “Available on the App Store” logo. The The prices are awarded for the movies with the most views on YouTube until March 1 2012 at midnight to March 2 Central European Time as determined and reported by YouTube. To be eligible for the 50$ prize, the movie must have at least 65,000 views, for the 25$ prize 35,000 views, and for the 10$ prize 15,000 views on March 1 2012 at midnight to March 2 Central European Time as determined and reported by YouTube. For example, if the three top movies are viewed only 39,521, 37,312, and 29,120 times, 2x 25$ and 1x 10$ will be awarded. View counts are for one specific movie URL, replicates of movies do not count. The movie description/caption must clearly indicate a link to http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/orbit-luna/id484677755?mt=8 and no other URL. The YouTube URL of the movie must be posted to this thread by the participating forum user to claim and protect their ownership of the movie. One participant can post only one movie and URL. By doing so, the participant grants free unrestricted usage rights of the movie to the copyright holder of Orbit Luna. If we find that movie material is copied from a movie linked by an earlier post, the later movie is disqualified on the suspicion that the later movie stole from the previous. Please Note An update with improved Multiplayer game and a second chapter of the campaign with three bonus missions will push early February. Either version can be used for participation. The update does not provide any advantage or disadvantage to the high score competition as none of the existing missions were changed.

Amendment to the rules for the high score competition If the Game Center nickname of the participant does not match with their forum name, the identity can be matched by posting the Game Center name to this thread by Feb/15/2012. Find the posts by Snakebite and burn above for examples.
