Sorry if this is appropriate, but Amazon is selling the 4G 32GB iPod Touch for $245 ($270-$25 gift card) until Dec. 18. If anyone of you, like me, were sitting on the fence, just waiting for the lowest possible price, I think now is the best time to take the plunge!
That's a great price. Here in the UK, Amazon is selling it at a reduced price of £218 or $345, which is still a good deal.
Argos have 6 offers for iPod, Half price cases, %'s off earphones, £'s off speakers. And they all come with £10 argos voucher.
Hmmn, if GBP 218 or $345 is the reduced price, I wonder what's the normal price.... Still quite expensive, IMO. I guess the higher price in the UK, and Europe in general, is because of the VAT. So, is there any advantage to buying from Amazon there since the sales tax is already included in the price? Here in the US, one of the main reasons to buy from Amazon is to avoid the sales tax which in most states is between 5-10%.
Prices are very varied. Here, in Hungary for example, a 64gig Touch is 130k HUF (~600 USD) and the 32gig is 100k HUF (~490 USD). So, even the ones living in the UK are lucky.
Woooh, $490 for a 32G iPod Touch?? Now, I feel like a cheapo for thinking $280 (the normal Amazon price) was a bit much.
