It's very clearly an amateur effort, but it's definitely worth the effort if people get some entertainment out of it. The game is (intentionally) quite slow-paced and mostly about exploration, with some light puzzles and combat thrown in. You can find Ape Attack in the App Store. Alternatively, you can also play the game in the browser if you just want to give it a try. In terms of mechanics, the goal is to find and catch the monkeys in each level. Monkeys will run away from you, and are protected by other animals. You need to catch monkeys in your net, which will slow you down and make you more likely to get hit by those other animals. You can of course try to knock out the other animals, but that means the monkeys will get away. You might also find locked doors and other obstacles along the way, meaning you will need to figure out how to proceed.
