The Official Version of Enter the Gungeon is coming to iOS. Devolver, Dodge Roll and X.D Network working together to make it happen. Currently the Pre-order is only available for Gamers on the Chinese AppStore. Expected release August 30th.

A Global release is coming but no date has been announced yet.

It will be a paid premium app, with a Single player mode and online Co-op mode. It will also have controller support and a reworked customizable touch control such as, auto aim, semi auto aim, manual, and movable buttons, etc.

The games development blogs are on the taptap(Cn) Enter the Gungeon announcements page. The blogs are in Chinese. You’ll need to either use Safari’s or Google’s translator feature to translate the web pages.

Anyway, another game to look out for, whenever the global release is. Keep an eye out on the Enter the Gungeon, Dodge Roll or Devolver’s social pages. I think they‘ll make an announcement eventually for the global release, but it could still be awhile.

    Better late than never.
I would have liked to play Nuclear Throne on iOS, too. But I think it's veeery late.

It sounds like it will be. It will be a single purchase at a very low priced 18 yuan / $2.99.

The only concern I have is I haven’t seen any confirmation stating if the game will require internet or some kind of online login for the whole game or just for the co-op mode.

Am I crazy thinking we already had this on iOS? Or am I just getting confused with my switch? I know I can’t find it on the AppStore now but I swear it use to be here?

I think you are mixing it up with Exit the Gungeon. That released a while back on AA/Netflix sub model.

The game has just released in the Chinese AppStore and TapTap. Now we wait, for the however long the global release is. Could be a while.

What keeps an app from getting released in China? Does it need to go through a rigorous vetting process?

China is special, it is a hardcore communist country with nationwide internet censorship after all. I wouldn’t be shocked if the App Store behaves differently and follows different rules over there. Perhaps some chineese people here can comment on this matter?
