I’ve only completed the first level, but I’m a sucker for story-driven arcade shooters. There seems to be a lot to chew on here — all tasty, so to speak. The only thing that bugs me a little is your thumb covers stuff - relative touch would alleviate that for the most part. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,715 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #4 squarezero, Feb 23, 2024 Haven’t looked into the controls options yet — I’m with you on relative touch. I really got into this after posting. There are Game Center leaderboards and achievements, cloud saves, relative touch, joystick and normal (ship is next to finger), as well as a sensitivity slider. The dev didn’t miss a thing. I went ahead and bought the $10 IAP. Given it a download to check it out, I don’t generally like arcade games as they are mostly high score chasers which doesn’t interest me. But maybe with it being story driven and having new weapons and upgrades to unlock I’ll find it suits me more. elcrazy likes this. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,715 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #8 squarezero, Feb 23, 2024 Story + choice of ships, weapons, powers, and all sorts of upgrades. Best shmup I’ve played on iOS in a long time. And, yeah, does remind me a bit of Sine Mora (which I really wish would get an update for newer phone screens). Some cool enemy designs and pretty challenging. Only thing I’d like is more distinction between things that will hurt you and currency/health. When it gets chaotic, it can be hard to tell. Also wouldn’t mind checkpoints as some of the levels are really long. Dying towards the end is pretty frustrating, lol. (But don’t want to change to easy) Anotherkellydown and elcrazy like this. If a game isn’t included in Jared’s “out now” article, then it will be eligible for the following week. I agree that some of the enemy bullets - especially the green poison ones - are hard to differentiate from the green health pickups. At one point I was slamming into them trying to recover health lol. I want people to play this game really bad and it hurts to see the fairly empty leaderboards. Hopefully this will pick up some steam as time passes. It’s obvious this was a labor of love. I hope the dev does well so we can see what else he has up his sleeve. It does have that Sine Mora vibe. I think I may like this even better. The game play is so fun. Everytbing is done to perfection. Controls, graphics, gameplay, options, etc are all top notch. The different ship, weapons, bombs, secondary weapons and more all add so much fun and replay ability. Weapons are all unique and very different. Setting up multiple ships with different load outs feels fun and strategic. There is nothing bad I can say about this game. Love it!! Early game of the year contender.
