Defuse bombs, free hostages and crush enemies in this fast-paced rougelite shooter based on Tom Clancy's popular "Rainbow Six" franchise. Assemble the best squad, save the world of Smol! You've just joined Rainbow as a Recruit, and your mission is to kick the doors down and deal with cultists. Liberate the world of Smol from the mysterious threat that looms over it, and find a way to get your teammates back home. DESTROY ALL THE THINGS To complete your missions, you can be stealthy and take down your targets with only a few bullets. Or you can use the full might of your squad to level entire buildings. The choice is yours — but either way it'd be a shame not to take advantage of these gorgeously designed, yet completely destructible, environments. ENGAGE IN SQUAD-BASED TACTICAL AWESOMENESS You won't be alone on your journey, as you'll get to assemble unique squads of Rainbow Operators, each equipped with their own special abilities. Will you forge your way to the objective with Sledge, or recon your path around enemies and traps with Valkyrie? It's up to you to choose your team and play style. UNLOCK NEW CONTENT Go on Operations and complete objectives to unlock new operators, new gear and recruit classes, tactical patches or the enigmatic Books of Power, and become an unstoppable force of pure tactical might. This game features tons of missions, hundreds of fearsome enemies and an infinite number of disposable Recruits. Perfect for hours of fun and destruction. - Created by Ubisoft Entertainment. Damn Netflix ain’t playing around. This looks pretty awesome, I can’t wait to try it and love the paper mario style graphics that’s a nice surprise. houseofg likes this. On a cursory go it looks like it might be quite good fun; certainly seems quite well put together. Might be some nods to Siege players, not played it myself. I look forward to spending some more time with it. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,716 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #4 squarezero, Feb 20, 2024 “Bizarre” is the word that came to my mind, too. Seems like there’s a weird disconnect between theme and art direction. I mean, Rainbow 6 is a game about killing terrorists, right? Cute Paper Mario style graphics seems like an odd choice. That said, it looks well made and IAP free through Netflix, so might as well try it. That bouncy 2d that Crashlands had. For me I prefer this art style to the actual rainbow six game in softlaunch. But I know art preference is individual. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #7 ste86uk, Feb 21, 2024 I just spent about an hour and a half on it, first thing I’ll say is go into the settings and change those to your liking! Before I capped fps and changed some settings my 15 pro max was on fire hotter than any game I’ve played on it. But changing the settings reduced the heat a lot. It is fairly similar to door kickers action squad but if you die you’re dead and start again by picking another class. But there is a home base and you earn coins through missions and exp and use those to unlock permanent benefits and new things like classes, skins, weapons, buffs etc. If you die you just loose the coins you have gained so far that run but you can save them by retreating back to base if you think you don’t have enough health for the next mission. So each run you’ll go through a slay the spire style map picking which mission next until you either die, retreat (because health is low) or beat it. Looks like there’s loads of areas and the game isn’t as easy as I thought it would be but I’m getting much better now. Definitely worth your time to check it out if you already have Netflix. Fun game you can play for hours on end or just do 10 minutes here and there having a little fun and making progress by earning towards those permanent unlocks and upgrades. houseofg likes this. I think maybe it’s those long progression systems, it was feeling like a bit of a grind and left me feeling like unlocking things should be a bit faster to make for a smoother experience that hooks players in more with that next carrot on a stick. houseofg likes this.
