Her grandmother had brought her to the forest, and helped her feed a pixie to the strange unmoving creature. This gargoyle, too, ate a pixie from Lulu’s careful hand. It sang a pure note of pleasure. Then it spoke into Lulu’s mind. At that moment the automatons attacked. Place your gargoyle army strategically to harvest pixies and defeat the hordes of attacking automatons and predators. Level your gargoyles, evolving them into more-powerful forms in three different evolution trees. Try a tanky Boulder for defense and a Black Mage for ranged vapor-type damage—or maybe experiment with the Lure ability of the multirow Manticore. In the main campaign, follow Lulu and her companion gargoyle Poe to discover the source of the automatons and how to stop them. Your gargoyle army stays with you as you proceed through each battle of the campaign. With your favorite evolutions and best battle tactics, you might make it to victory. I hope you enjoy this game! Please let me know if you have any feedback. The gameplay of Gargoyles is onslaught tower-defense, kinda like Plants vs Zombies, but the personality of the game comes more from Battle for Wesnoth (wesnoth.org), an open-source game that I played the heck out of in the 2000s and 2010s. I'm wondering if anyone remembers or knows or still plays that game in order to catch the references. The parts that really appealed to me as a player were the recruit/recall mechanism, the way that every new recruit got two random perks and a name, and the leveling/evolution trees. (I also ended up using a similar economy in Gargoyles: You must put a unit over a certain square in order to gain resources to get more units.) Happy gaming! troyster, Ijipop and AltsKev like this. tsunombie Member Jun 1, 2017 5 5 3 #3 tsunombie, Feb 12, 2024 Last edited: Feb 13, 2024 Also, the App Store includes some screenshots, but no trailer, so here's a short gameplay video: Raztog and vsnlap like this. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,716 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #4 squarezero, Feb 12, 2024 I would never had made the Wesnoth connection if you hadn’t mentioned it .
