Ferulci Well-Known Member Nov 6, 2015 52 26 18 #2 Ferulci, Feb 1, 2024 While the app info is processing, allow me to share a trailer with you! Galaxy mix is a watermelon-like (combination of Tetris and 2048) for iOS and Apple Watch (you read that right!) Now, you might think there are dozens, if not hundreds, of Suika clones flooding the stores recently, but I believe Galaxy Mix offers one of the freshest (and most challenging) takes on the genre: We've expanded the gameplay to increase its depth. Stuck because of tiny pieces? Shake the screen to shuffle the board! Is a planet in the way of your goal? Use a bomb to remove it. We've created multiple game modes to fit all playstyles. You can either compete for leaderboards and try to reach the black hole in "Classic" or play endlessly without any pressure in "Zen" mode. The game is REALLY challenging. Getting a watermelon is a cakewalk compared to the black hole. Our game features lovely pixel-art planets, each with their own personality and set of expressions. No ads, no data collected! Last but not least, it’s available on Apple Watch! We optimized Galaxy Mix for that device so that it plays great and runs smoothly. You can enjoy it in 10-second spurts while waiting for your commute or indulge in longer sessions. I hope you will like it f you have feedbacks regarding improvements, additional game modes and so, feel free to reach out! I love Suika Game so I’m excited to give this a try. Good luck with the release, @Ferulci Edit: This is excellent! It’s a fully featured Watermelon Game, with more to it than the original. I especially like the “shake it” feature with its haptic feedback. I really don’t see how someone could do much better than this when attempting an homage game. It’s great to have on the go, too! They took the formula and gave it a little bit more. Also this makes for the first good premium Suika “like” game on iOS. djstout and Ferulci like this. djstout Well-Known Member Jul 21, 2011 2,685 105 63 Sportscaster & football (soccer) coach Taiwan & Japan #5 djstout, Feb 2, 2024 Absolutely love it! That said, I never got any near that score again. The bomb is a cool idea but maybe making it an option would be better (keeping it for later). And how do you get those “shake”? Just a small bar on the screen instead of it popping up randomly when we have enough combos. I haven’t tried Zen mode. I still have to beat the dev It was a LONG game. I also have some experience with Suika Game (about 10 hours on Switch). I like your idea of having some kind of meter for the shake mechanic. Also, it would be great if you could save your game to pick back up later on. Edit: your game saves automatically if you close the app. Don’t select “quit” from settings, just close the app and your game will be waiting when you open it again. My high score round lasted at least 45 minutes. A save state would make it more accessible for mobile gamers, I think (see edit, above). I actually mentioned that in the 5-star review I left the day I got this but I’m still not seeing it in the US App Store. Here the highest I can get is the sun. I don’t know what I am doing wrong lol. But I can’t get past 3700ish. The shake mechanic doesn’t seem to do too much. But we should see the meter. I thought it was saving but I could be wrong. An actual save game would be great. For me it’s the best Suika game I have played. Anotherkellydown likes this. It wouldn’t change how I played the game at all. But, who knows, maybe it would help. The one thing I would like to be able to do is scroll the leaderboards. As it is now, you can only see the people around your score. Edit: regarding save states, the game saves progression when you close the app. Don’t “quit” from settings, just close the app. Ferulci Well-Known Member Nov 6, 2015 52 26 18 #16 Ferulci, Feb 6, 2024 Ok, makes sense! You can get the shake by completing combos which fills a bar (around the score in classic, or a constellation in zen mode). When it's full, you can shake. Ahah, it's one of the stuff I liked to do during playtest. If you stack them well, you can get close to "easy" 1000 points. Ferulci Well-Known Member Nov 6, 2015 52 26 18 #17 Ferulci, Feb 6, 2024 Thank you! Yeah, you can see the shake progress in the outline next to score but we got several feedbacks regarding this so we probably need to improve its visibility. - Thank you for the review! - You are right regarding the game save. Switching from one mode to another makes you leave your current game but otherwise the game should be saved if you kill the app/go back. Thank you so much! PraetorianX likes this. Ferulci Well-Known Member Nov 6, 2015 52 26 18 #18 Ferulci, Feb 6, 2024 So, there is one design question where I would love your input, and that's regarding the shake gauge. What is currently happening is that anytime you do a combo, the outline around the score is getting filled by a color. When its full of color, you can use the shake. That's something that doesnt get in the way of gameplay (we were afraid of cluttering the screen) but it is too hard to notice for a lot of players. Do you have other possible ideas on how you would like it to happen? Once again, thank you so much for your feedbacks. We want to iterate to make the game as good as it can be. djstout and Anotherkellydown like this. elcrazy Well-Known Member Sep 19, 2017 707 562 93 #19 elcrazy, Feb 6, 2024 Omg I didn’t even notice this.
