In this kingdom management RPG, petitioners will arrive in the throne room each turn to ask for your advice and assistance. Decide whether to help them with their problems, or to conserve resources for more important matters. Remember: supplies are limited, and not everyone has the kingdom’s best interests at heart... Yes, Your Grace tells a tale of Davern, a medieval kingdom ruled by King Eryk. The game is set in a fictional world where monsters and arcane practices inspired by Slavic folklore are the order of the day. Villagers will ask for your help with various problems, from monsters attacking the village to a lack of places to relax and enjoy themselves. Some will bring humour to your throne room and some will present you with difficult choices. Your family is important too, and throughout your time as King, you will have to support them in their struggles. You will face lords with a variety of personalities; you will need their support in order to win an upcoming battle, but some may ask you to perform dirty deeds to cement the alliance. One thing is clear: It won’t be easy to keep everyone happy... Listen to petitioners each turn and decide who needs your support. Aid your family with their personal problems and decide upon their fate. Hire Generals, Witches and Hunters to aid your efforts. Prepare for battle and make alliances by satisfying the whims of lords and kings. Follow the stories of the quirky and determined characters that visit your halls. I would say it falls under the strategy/simulation genre where you have to make tough choices to manage resources and people’s happiness in order to survive. There is quite an interesting underlying story as well. Best part is the family angle, as you’ll soon realise that your family are quite an handful. Hehe. If you are into epic medieval drama like Game of Thrones, you will love it. (Nothing that violent ofc) Only complain I have is that the game only saves once you complete an in-game week. But then again, it’s free-to-try so no harm in giving it a go. I’ll probably get the full game anyway. gaberaph Well-Known Member Feb 20, 2015 70 14 8 #4 gaberaph, Feb 2, 2024 I’m amazed this hasn’t gotten more attention, it’s one of the coolest games I’ve played in a while, where I’m actually more into the narrative, rather than the gameplay loop. Easily this weeks instabuy! Ghostdog1 likes this. Ghostdog1 Well-Known Member Jan 30, 2015 319 125 43 #5 Ghostdog1, Feb 6, 2024 This game should get much more attention. Its mix of decision making and handling resources sounds easy and passive but it will keep you on the line. And the great narrative will suck you in deep because it is mindblowing good. It made me care not only for the king but for his whole family with it’s well written chracters. I played it for a whole day without a pause. I laughed, I cried, and I was sometimes just devastated. It‘s been a long tome since a game made me feel so much. It won’t be my only playthrough because there are so many possible paths to take. Altogether a brilliant game. gaberaph, ste86uk and squarezero like this. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
