Maybe because it’s on Apple Arcade, but this game is one of the best, if not THE BEST cozy game on iOS. Cute graphics, stellar controls and most importantly, the game never feels like a grind and there’s always something to do or look forward to, unlike most games in this genre. I’ll admit I’m not a Tamagotchi fan and the writing, although, charming, can be a bit too much at times with the “tchis”. But the characters and their interesting stories more than make up for it. Mobile has quite a few games that probably fall under this genre but none of them are quite streamlined as much as this one is. Okay, maybe Stardew Valley is, but the combat in that is awkward at best and the game can get grindy at times. If you have an iOS device and Apple Arcade subscription, do give this a try if you’re into this genre. You won’t be disappointed. squarezero likes this. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #3 ste86uk, Jan 29, 2024 I have downloaded it but I was addicted to dreamlight valley so nothing else was getting a look in. Starting to play other games again now so I’ll check it out at some point. Rocksaint Well-Known Member Nov 29, 2013 666 367 63 #4 Rocksaint, Jan 30, 2024 I would say this is the same genre as Dreamlight Valley. But a much more streamlined game for mobile, and with good after release support. Already two major updates are out with improvements and a lot of bug fixes. I played Dreamlight Valley but was never able to fully immerse into it. Probably because of the pacing, camera and controls. It looks great, but never felt like it's perfectly suited for mobile. Always felt like it was a bit slow and lacked quality of life features. But that's just my opinion. This feels right at home on mobile. Feels much better to play and is very easy to quickly pick-up-and-play for a few mins. (Although I'll warn you, an hour can easily pass by if you're not paying attention. Hehe.) ste86uk likes this.
