I was so excited for this since the accidental announcement, but no controller support feels like a non-starter. The virtual controls are, predictably, not good. I really hope this does get controller support in the future (I have a Backbone). It's very puzzling since other SNK games and other Netflix games do support controllers. So while the lack of controller support is really surprising, I’m disappointed to hear that the touch controls aren’t good. I’ll still download and give it a try. podzilla Well-Known Member Nov 6, 2009 62 2 8 #5 podzilla, Aug 29, 2023 I guess your mileage may vary as far as the touch controls go. I'm just past the point of putting up with touchscreen screen controls on fighters or beat 'em ups, unless they were built from the ground up with touchscreen in mind. I have this game on Switch, but I don't have the extra paid DLC characters that this version has. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to look forward to being disappointed by FFVII Evercrisis. EDIT: on Android it doesn’t support controller either. I’ve also noticed that the last character unlocks on July 2024… I’ve played with on screen controls and they’re ok, like Street Fighter IV, but it would be great to be able to play with controller too. I don’t know if I’ll continue playing the game in one year tho. Something he said had me worried though: I can’t wait to see how this works out, and wonder why they can’t just let us play using the same controls as other platforms. Does he mean that even with external controller support, they will still retain the simplified controls scheme (i.e. no medium slash)? That's no good. https://toucharcade.com/2023/11/14/samurai-shodown-mobile-controller-support-in-development-iphone-android-netflix-snk/ VirtualBoyFreak Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Apr 26, 2011 4,801 85 48 Spain #12 VirtualBoyFreak, Dec 7, 2023 Samurai Shodown Netflix was removed from the Spanish App Store. My guess is that there are specific licensing issues with those developers, since both are fairly recent and Netflix has made no announcements about cycling content (and in fact even their oldest games are still there). Announcing enhancements right before getting delisted from the App Store. This may be way too optimistic at this point, but I'd rather just pay upfront for this game (provided there was controller support.) (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
