Love the art; might have to give this a whirl. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #5 macplash, Jul 20, 2023 The same here. It’s basically robots and hot girls as far as I can judge from the screenshots LOL. This should be selling like crazy, right? Seeing such polished premium CCG, it’s been a while. And yet, I didn’t take the plunge yet mostly because I can’t tell what’s the gameplay about. Can some elaborate or give me an example of other similar games? Is it more StS/Monster Train or Hearthstone perhaps? I’d love to give it a try but I’d like to know what to expect first. LasagneMan Member Sep 6, 2021 10 9 3 Male #7 LasagneMan, Jul 20, 2023 Curious how you get cards, it says recruit and shows a card appearing after tapping it in the trailer. So seems like it could be in game gacha for cards which I love. Also like others the general game play is quite strange from the trailer. Seems like you draw a card and it gets played instantly? vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,489 177 63 #8 vectorarchitekt, Jul 20, 2023 This is a departure from the developer’s usual style but it still has signature “game stewish” things about it. The music, overall vibe, etc. My only complaint as with all their games is that it could be sped up. All of their games need a “skip animations” or “game speed” option. You seem to recruit random units when you click on it and then put a deck together and go fight. I’m glad they tried to do a card game but it’s not revolutionary in the exhausted genre of battle games these days. But if you like Game Stew games I’d say it’s worthy of their collection for sure. I really like the art style this time. PBSNellie Well-Known Member Jul 7, 2013 1,381 168 63 Southern CA #9 PBSNellie, Jul 20, 2023 Is this really Game Stew? I have all their games and it doesn't seem like them. andreadeda Well-Known Member Mar 6, 2013 174 43 28 #10 andreadeda, Jul 20, 2023 For me Game Stew is instabuy; didn't recognize it immediately as one of their games as the graphic style is unusual; will get back to comment once i've had the time to play it properly vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,489 177 63 #11 vectorarchitekt, Jul 20, 2023 It is! Feeling like I need to run through tutorial again to see what I’m missing. Cinot Well-Known Member Jun 19, 2016 61 12 8 #15 Cinot, Jul 23, 2023 Are there card unlocks or a progression system? I can‘t find a gameplay ( for me the trailer us not enough ). andreadeda Well-Known Member Mar 6, 2013 174 43 28 #16 andreadeda, Jul 24, 2023 Basically you can have 3 versions of the cards, 1 to 3 stars. 1 stars are basic, 2 stars have a special ability, 3 stars have 2 special abilities. With the currency you gain you can roll a “gacha” and get cards. Once unlocked the 1 star version you can use it unlimited times. The 2 and 3 stars are lost when killed in battle. it might start hard because they don’t explain much immediately. You have to conquer territories that have a difficult level of 1 to 5 and give you some money every turn. you also get attacked and have to defend. The objective is to win all territories. the fact is that you start with a 5 star territory and around you are other 5 star territory so without knowing what to do you end up attacking those and loosing. Once you start loosing you don’t have enough money to roll the gacha and get better units and it’s hard to pull yourself back up. my advice is to start conquering 1 and 2 star territories and roll the gacha to get more units and slowly integrate them. Don’t defend the original territories as you will loose. Try to have at least 1 land territory all the time because if you loose them all it’s game over. Soon it will click, you’ll learn how to build the deck and will start winning harder territories and get more money and more powerful units. I lost my first game, understood what to do and I’m in my second game and only have 5 star territory ti conquest to win (don’t have much time so my progress is slowish). Once you understand the units and how to place them, who you can sacrifice and who to protect, it gets much easier. for me it’s a good game, it’s fun and rightfully challenging. It has the usual game stew vibe, without having the usual graphic style. I don’t mind the new one. Might not have a lot of soul but the game has. If you like gamestew ones you will like this one. Roxton, Ijipop, adin and 2 others like this. Cinot Well-Known Member Jun 19, 2016 61 12 8 #17 Cinot, Jul 24, 2023 Thank you for the explanation. I was not sure if it has the „gamestew vibes“ or something totally different. I enjoyed the games they made. So I will also take this one. LasagneMan Member Sep 6, 2021 10 9 3 Male #18 LasagneMan, Jul 25, 2023 With the Gacha is it like a card pack or just a single card then are there different rarities or the cards just level up? Guessing you can do plenty of pulls after each battle too? andreadeda Well-Known Member Mar 6, 2013 174 43 28 #19 andreadeda, Jul 25, 2023 Just finished the game; the gacha is single pulls, each costs 1000 of the currency; you get from 50 to 600 for every territory you posses (depending on the territory)and usually between 1000-2000 for every game you win; at the beginning was usualy rolling 2-3 times after each games; at the end around 8-9 times. You don't upgrade cards, you have to pull them to play them; don't know the rates but already at 2 stars some cards are very good and you have some good 1 star as well that i had in the deck through the whole game. LasagneMan Member Sep 6, 2021 10 9 3 Male #20 LasagneMan, Jul 25, 2023 Thanks. So generally recommend it? Any reason to play through again? (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
