No other controls for combat? I like the game. It’s an endless sailing game. You roam around the screen and sinking ships to get their treasures. After some time, a Kraken appears and will try to sink your ship. You can buy and upgrade ships, unlock perks and get new maps. But in my personal opinion, unlocking new maps need too much treasures. Somehow I replied to a post here. It had nothing to do with the game at all. I meant post deleted. Not game. Very sorry. I couldn’t find a way to remove my post. Thanks for the impressions @Brightsiderus Roxton Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Jan 30, 2015 170 90 28 #10 Roxton, Jun 28, 2023 From the description, I almost expected a lite, sail-age version of Star Traders: Frontiers. It’s nothing like that. You meander around a small play area, which slowly pans. Shoot random spawns, some of which shoot back. Avoid defensive towers. Use dash to get closer to your quarry or dodge. Kraken spawns every couple of minutes – you get some extra loot if you dodge the tentacles. When you die, spend loot to increase HP, dash recharge speed, or cannon range, or unlock a minor gimmick, like a magnet for dropped loot. It’s… fine. There’s an enjoyable skill curve. But there’s no apparent escalation as the game goes on, so there’s not much difference between staying alive and starting over, beyond high score chasing. I really dislike the controls. Tap to fire. Double tap to dash. But you want to spam fire, so you’re constantly running up against the double tap heuristic. This is not a particularly enjoyable skill to hone.
