The dark queen, once defeated by humans, has returned, leading a large army of darkness from the depths of hell to reappear in the world. The even more powerful darkness is invincible, and the northern human army has already been defeated, with the city defense lost. The dark army has moved south and is about to occupy the entire Osto continent. The belated humans and creatures rise up to fight back, but is there still a chance? Currently, the Osto continent has been shrouded in darkness. Will light ever return? This is a role-playing (RPG) game. As a player, you play as a hero fighting for the light of the Osto continent. Everyone has a dream of becoming a hero in their heart, and I hope you can experience it here. Let's fight for the light together! It’s really good from what I’ve played so far. Some cool mechanics like being able to select more than one title at a time. Writing is not great but one of the better of the match-3 RPG type games I’ve played in a while. Not even close to the same level as Hero Emblems, of course, but quite fun! Make sure you read the skill sets of each of the heroes. Think they all require six matches and takes some strategy using the two icons at a time moves. Pretty hard to find them but satisfying when you do. Is it some sort of shield? Seems that way. And what is the second (different-green) bar below my health? It disappears once I fill it. There’s a lot going on in this game and seems to be fairly complex. I’d appreciate a tutorial or some general guidance on everything. I guess I’ll figure it out eventually but still. Even though try and error technique might have some appeal, I’d feel more comfortable knowing what I’m doing right from the beginning. That being said, besides me being kinda lost for now, I sense this game has so much to offer for such low price. What a pleasant surprise. ———- EDIT: so I finished first two worlds with dwarf and I already figured out the other green bar is XP bar which has a nice perk of fully refilling the health when leveling up. Very useful during the combat although it’ll be less and less useful with each level gained as it’s gonna take longer to refill it. The more I play the more I’m impressed. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a match 3 game with a mechanics to move multiple tiles at once. It leads to a completely unique strategies and executing crazy combos is so satisfying to watch. Btw, I still haven’t figured out how the Smithy works. Anyone? ——— EDIT2: never mind, I figured it out as well. You need gems to improve your weapons. Fyi, this character’s main ability is to go into stealth mode when matching non-attacking tiles which leads to some crazy combos. Not to complain but it feels almost broken since the enemies can’t attack while Thief is invisible. So basically you can do whatever you want as long as you’re being careful not to trigger attacks. I defeated her on my very first attempt and I didn’t even know there are multiple stages during the battle. There’s a shop to do business, blacksmith to upgrade your stuff with gems. So there’s that, rougelike-wise. But not in a regular sense, like always starting from the beginning, dying and upgrading to make yourself more powerful and progress further. The map is split to multiple worlds where each world has a certain amount of stages. Once you finish a stage, you can replay it, but it’s not really essential. I haven’t had a need to grind yet. So if you’re looking for a genuine rougelike, this isn’t it. AltsKev likes this. So I turned off auto-allocation and dumped 100% of my points into CON, which synergistically boosts both DEF and HP. It’s not game-breaking, but it’s proved effective.
