Stronsay Well-Known Member Aug 6, 2015 987 230 43 #4 Stronsay, Apr 28, 2023 Second impression, I never played NetHack but it seems GnollHack uses the same open source code as NetHack. Has added graphics and some minor changes, made by a non-profit developer. Graphics make it easier to get into but still complicated. Collin Well-Known Member Jul 29, 2010 719 46 28 Graphic Designer/Illustrator/Art Director Colorado Springs, CO https://www.theislandsofmisfitcreativity.com/ #5 Collin, Apr 28, 2023 I played for around two hours last night - no sign of ads, no in app purchases, so it seems to be properly free. But also very little explanation, and looking at the two pages of commands in the "more" section (on iPad), it looks like it could get pretty deep. But I'm also not sure if/when I will get back to playing it, to be honest. There's something there that I like enough to have stuck with it that long, but there are also bits that I find annoying. I wish there was a way to get a few more of the useful commands added to the bottom row on the iPad. "You", "Attributes" and "Skills" would be nice to have accessible on the main screen, instead of split across two pages of "more" commands. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
