I learnt so much while making this, hopefully someone will like playing it, too The bot is maybe a bit too difficult in this version though. Aim high for easier points! Somewhere in a town amidst the Amazon jungle. http://www.google.com #3 sebgo, Apr 4, 2023 Your bot kicked my ass beyond tolerance, although I'm pretty bad at these games by default. I played it for like 20 minutes and couldn't even win once (30 pts at best)! But I liked the simple one-button concept, charm (especially the players' faces when they win/lose), and the pong-ish feel. I think it's important you learned something from this project and I hope said acquired knowledge will be of use in future games. oivoi Well-Known Member Aug 22, 2011 99 5 8 Pirkkala, Finland https://www.ottoojala.com #4 oivoi, Apr 4, 2023 Oh no, sorry for that :--) The game's working title was 'Flappy Pong' but I didn't quite plan on making the bot's difficulty level the Flappy Bird reference Oh well. Thanks for trying the game out <3 Grist Well-Known Member Nov 7, 2008 362 25 28 VP of Marketing Massachusetts #5 Grist, Apr 7, 2023 So close to being a fun and addicting game. Just make the bot a little more fallible, please. Is this a bug? oivoi Well-Known Member Aug 22, 2011 99 5 8 Pirkkala, Finland https://www.ottoojala.com #7 oivoi, May 5, 2023 I added an easier difficulty to the game in the update. Sorry for the late reply! You're right to suspect it's a bug as that's not how it goes in real tennis. You just need to hit the ball behind your opponent in this game, kind of like in the classic Pong game. It's not the best game design as it's not clear at first, but hopefully players learn this early on. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
