It does. It also has optional ads to.earn rewards. Was surprised to see ads in a netflix game. I do not know if this is a good thing but i am not willing to play hours and stumble on a wall. Will wait for more impressions to see if it is worth it anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #4 anthony78, Feb 14, 2023 I actually got an error when I got to watch an ad for a revive. I kind of wonder if they messed up taking out the ad stuff from the Android version (which is not Netflix). sakara214ever Well-Known Member May 10, 2012 1,262 168 63 #5 sakara214ever, Feb 14, 2023 Weird. Mine showed the ad and rewarded with gems. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #6 anthony78, Feb 15, 2023 Think I know what the difference is between this and the F2P version. I’m not getting any ads (probably was some issues at the beginning that have been ironed out). And that seems to be the Netflix benefit. I purposely used all my tickets and after I ran out, it basically gave me the prompt to watch an ad for five more. Clicked it, no ad but five more tickets. And now when I die and ask for an extra life, same prompt that seems to want you to watch an ad to revive, just click on it. No ad and a revive. All the messy F2P currency and stuff is there but Netflix lets you keep using the free stuff card without watching ads. No need to worry about tickets/energy because getting more is just a click without an ad. Wish it didn’t have all the F2P trappings but at least you get a lot further and not have to worry about paying with the Netflix version. The ticket system in the main game is fine honestly, a run take that long that you earn more tickets than you use most of the time unless your terrible at it or want to sit and play for a long time. But I was never able to run out and had to stop playing because of it. I found it a pretty great game, I enjoyed the gameplay and the bosses, getting gear and artefacts and upgrading etc but in the end you do have to grind to get strong enough to keep making progress and ultimately I stopped because it’s been in softlaunch quite a while and they have hardly done anything at all… So I’m not sure they will give much support post launch but who knows maybe they will? Either way it’s worth checking out if your interested as I really did enjoy the gameplay on my first playthrough decript likes this. I finished chapter 3 after like 10 attempts, barely. On the other hand, going back to chapter 2 is just like playing on very easy. I can’t even die there, literally. Looks like the balance is completely off. I can one shot enemies in previous chapter, but it takes like 10 shots to kill even the smallest ones in the next. Also, after running out of tickets it’s possible to recharge them for free, but only twice per 24 hours. After that it’s 60 gems. The same with revives. It’s free in the beginning but later on it’s always 10 gems. I don’t even have an option to revive for free anymore. I got mixed feelings about this game. It looks great, plays really well, controls are smooth. But all the free to play crap is still there, minus the ads of course. But what bothers me the most is a lack of balance in difficulty. I’m upgrading, crafting, switching between ammunition types, doesn’t really matter that much. Dunno. New chapter is barely playable and previous one is no challenge anymore. Shouldn’t be that way. Oh, and syncing between devices doesn’t work properly as well. It carries my progress over, but for example not my loadout. Equipped weapons, abilities, gear… Nothing carries over. Rocksaint Well-Known Member Nov 29, 2013 666 367 63 #10 Rocksaint, Feb 16, 2023 Yup. There’s a big difficulty bump up from chapter 3. My guess is that’s where the original F2P aggressiveness was supposed to kick in. But since this has been turned into a subscription game (poorly), it hits the player really hard. Core game is perfect for mobile. Plays really well and is quite fun for short bursts. But sadly, as 95% mobile games nowadays, the prime reason for creating this was greed. macplash likes this. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #11 ste86uk, Feb 16, 2023 @macplash yeh they have never really changed much of anything all the time it’s been in softlaunch and it does get harder but often when things are taking that many hits to kill it’s more gear related so needing grinding. You have to repeat stages later on over and over again to get stronger and hope to get artefact pieces too but I guess that’s where the different builds and weapons come in to differentiate the runs. I had to start again a few weeks ago as they did a server migration and left my old save on the old servers as I hadn’t played for a while. But since I knew the boss and enemy patterns already I stomped through back to chapter 5 pretty quickly. My favourite weapon by far is the staff and don’t feel disheartened the upgrades for gear and outfits definitely make a difference, especially if you craft to upgrade your weapons when you get multiple ones or blueprints to do it with. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #12 macplash, Feb 16, 2023 The increase in difficulty is ridiculous and it just feels artificial. Like to force you to buy crates to get better weapons, gear and whatnot. Not acceptable! Shooting 12-15 shots at the smallest spiders to finally kill them is just painful to watch. Not worth to lose my nerves over it. It’s a shame because it looks great and plays smoothly. Yeah, deleted. I didn't whale on it by any stretch of the imagination but progress is much, much faster when you can spend a few here and there AND watch ads for more gems. Problem is, their ad system seems to be broken, at least on my phone, and dev tech support is useless. So, I deleted it in a fit of frustration and am back to this Netflix version. Am I imagining things or wasn't there a bonus wheel during runs that could give gems (the ad watching mechanic in the FTP version but obviously just a click in this case)?? I KNOW there was the butler dude with buffs who has now disappeared from the Netflix version. But, yeah, to get to 2800 gems for the good crate? Good luck with that. I'm setting my aim lower ATM, at 850, to get the sticker crate for the weekly event. I'm on level 8 or 9, so I've made a lot of chapter/tomb progress, but am stuck with uncommon (!) golden pistols (which are IMHO by far the best weapon in this game - pistols, that is, the gold is meaningless I think). I only have one epic (mask), and the rest are rare. So, not horrible, but I was all epic in the FTP version at about the same chapter progression. To answer a question above, the differences among weapons start to show more as you move up in rarity, with traits like less recoil (so, more accurate?) and more knockback. Of course there is also attack speed and some targeting, like with the staff, which I had at a higher rarity level but ended up fully dusting to support my pistols, since I like them so much more.
