The pixel art is excellent (especially for the monsters) and the action is frenetic but manageable. Took me a couple tries to beat the first level, but I’m not particularly good at this kind of strategy game. Definitely worth a try. LiQuiD, LordGek, JasonLL and 1 other person like this. You really get a premium RTS everything in this game feels right. Controls, graphics, Sfx. Could not be more happy with my purchase. Did 4 stages then bought it. Could be game of the week. Not a big RTS guy myself but appreciate how they've managed to streamline the controls (like how you just control 1 big cluster of units) wile still offering a lot of depth. MetaGonzo Well-Known Member May 7, 2009 1,459 271 83 #9 MetaGonzo, Nov 12, 2022 I haven’t tried it yet but I imagine it means “population cap”, ie. the maximum number of units you can have at one time. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,000 113 #10 ste86uk, Nov 12, 2022 Thanks for the comments here to make me pay attention to the game as I didn’t bother looking at first. But I’ve just played the tutorial and the first mission or two and I really like it so far, I especially love building up defences in games too I like making impenetrable bases although that is kind of easy on this game so far. But I was just wondering how does the rougelike elements work in this game? I seen after the tutorial when I beat a mission I could select upgrades. So do you play the game in runs? See how far you can get and get offered different upgrades or choose different heroes etc so change it up? Or is it a set story and you just unlock things in a random order but still get it all eventually? I guess each faction has its own primary hero/leader unit and its own tech tree of buildings and units. Interestingly enough, it appears to be simultaneously developed on Steam, for only $5.
