Game is mixed with half turn based and half real time combat, it is hard to master since you need to know the right time of various enemies to parry, sometimes it is better to defense, there are kinds of weapon system to master BTW, you can chain the attack to do more damage if you attack at the right time. If you met a new enemy, you could try long press the screen to “defend” and learn how the enemy’s attack mode. if you know enemy’s attack mode already, you can try short tap to “parry” enemy’s attack at the right time, parry is the big part of the game, every enemy have 2 kinds of attack mode at least, so you need time to practice, it is best to learn in beginner mode. And if you guys bounced off early, you missed out on some stuff that makes it feel like an entirely different game. After completing the beginner levels, you unlock the gear system. And New Game+ With harder elite enemies. And effects like poison, fire, and a whole lot of honestly slightly confusing mechanics. The game is sorely in need of a glossary though. I want to know what effects like Poison or Fire or Lightning do. I also super endorse the easier mode to help learn the timing of attacks. By the way, the Elixir of Power relic seems bugged at the moment, you only increase the momentum cost of the attack without increasing damage, so just leave it alone now. So I just got my first 5/5 relic, you have to collect 5 piece of the relic, then you need to pay to upgrade it, once you done the steps I just said, you can upgrade the relic from "XXX" to "XXX+", and it does increase its power. For example, my first 5/5 relic is named "Jack of Spades", which makes all weapons becoming versatile (can be chained with any other weapon), after upgraded except the original effect, it deals +1 damage when chaining a different weapon once, which is good if you have weapons that do many times of attack. And the relic becomes 5/20 now, looks like I can play the game for a really long time, the game is worthy to purchase ad remover iap definitely.
