There’s a friend system, though it’s hard to find friends who are not fully booked. Being able to view their maps gives some inspiration. Yes, there’s a lot of IAP, mostly for what’s available anyway by (not) playing. I’ve watched a few ads in support of development. I’m 2 days in and so far, the upgrade time stays at 1 hour after level 9 and doesn’t go up. If you wanna make something cool and can figure out how the buildings work, this will be worth your time. This game is most fun when your either making a whole new island from scratch or adjusting the one you’ve made to suit the new buildings you collect.
