And I‘m sure this new game will find many fans, new and for sure old. Especially since it‘s a free-to-try game. Sadly, I personally cannot get into the art style used in most of his games. It‘s somehow the colors (so much brown and dark tones) and the general style, but that’s very personal. Gameplay seems very cool again, while also being on the slower side. It all feels like a game from back in the days, not really a 2022 release. But for sure Rauers didn‘t intend to create a fresh or exhilarating experience. It‘s a muted throwback, all about gameplay. To me, Miracle Merchant always stood out and was the one game that really clicked with me. The colorful artwork still stands out (only copied by Dicey Elementalist). naghihimutuc likes this. Played it for a long time and unlocked everything. The follow up with Card Thief didn‘t work for me because after playing for a longer time i still did not really know what to do in the game. And thats the same problem i have with the new on. IMO Somehow with every game Arnold Rauers creates since Card Crawl, the approachability goes more and more down. Same with the new Card Crawl Adventure. The tutorial bombs the player with so much information, I forgot half of it when the game started. So i was very demotivated after losing a few games, cause i still don‘t know what i should have done different. It's important for the player to understand the game fast and if a game requires a player to remember too much information without common intitive UI, then the player will most likely be demotivated from playing the game. That happened to me with every game since the first Card Crawl. sakara214ever Well-Known Member May 10, 2012 1,262 168 63 #20 sakara214ever, Aug 4, 2022 I had the exact same problem. Got to a point that i replayed the tutorial so many times it got frustrating and i deleted the game. Same with this one. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
