Finally it's officially released and changed better a lot of things. I just scratched only its surface and I'm sure dev team has done great job. If you didn't try it yet, you can try it for free! I do like it. Game is great and I want to see the other two characters. Buuut I have to play more. I had one issue I noticed and it’s possibly by design or maybe I missed something I will pick up with more playing and strategy. Maybe I need to play slower and see who is attacking where. But it seemed most turns there was no square that wasn’t going to take at least one point of damage. That being said I still made it to 5 of 7 on first go. Very cool design. Specially if you are a chess fan. I like chess but I would imagine those that love it will really like this. The roguelike here is very cool. I like the upgrade system. It’s great you can stack and make some pieces really strong. That is another way I was able to block some of the damage. So again maybe it’s by design and maybe I wasn’t killing the right enemy each time, although some times you can’t kill one for one reason or another. But I just feel like there should be a square that won’t take damage lol. Ya later in the dungeon there may be no square that is safe. But you can for sure find a way most times to block the one damage, make a square safe or change the bird completely. The system is so simple but so complex. Once you have certain upgrades you move a piece and so much can happen. Also for some reason I thought there was 2 more characters after purchase but there are 5. I can’t wait to see the differences in the characters and their starting decks. It’s not super hard. Just the right amount of thinking and balance of fun. Going to beat it with all 6 then move on to the next dungeon. Game is great. Forget anything I said about spots with no damage. It’s all about strategy and knowing where things will move and what you can take out or defend etc. The different characters have different decks and abilities. They play very different. There is a lot here in what looks like a small package. Great game. I am loving this one. I really don’t know how to play chess well but the game makes it pretty easy by showing you everywhere you can move with each card/piece. Cards have all kinds of modifiers and it’s just a great blend of genres. I’d say any fan of rogue like dungeon crawlers should give it a shot at least. It’s very well made. P.S.
