I don’t think I’ve ever played original Subway Surfers even though I’m aware of the franchise, but this takes that auto-runner to a whole different level. Sure, you’re still collecting coins and power-ups and completing missions and trying to achieve the highest score, but from my point of view you have so much more control over your characters and overall gameplay. That’s why I never got into endless runners. But I really like this game that builds up on a successful franchise and brings something new. And I really like it’s a new game in AA’s lineup, not just another plus game which I already owned anyway. ste86uk likes this. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #3 ste86uk, Jul 15, 2022 I’ve never been into their endless runners either and haven’t gotten into their softlaunched match 3 but I do like this one so far. Its a nice little high score chaser with upgrades and missions and different parks to ride on and somehow on the first two zones my scores are better than 97 and 96% of all players! Although I’m sure that’ll change once more people get on the game. But yeh I’m having fun with it and definitely going to play some more. It’s the upgrades keeping me going along with the fun. So far Fresh is my favourite character to use because his ability is so good if you round up a bunch of enemies and the guard. macplash likes this. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #4 macplash, Jul 16, 2022 So if my score is better than 100% of all players, does that mean I’m on the TOP, like the 1st and the greatest of all? ste86uk likes this. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #5 ste86uk, Jul 16, 2022 Last edited: Jul 16, 2022 @macplash damn that’s a good score! Congrats and yes it sounds like it means your number 1, I’ll have to revisit that level see if I can beat it. Just did the underground and unlocked the last of the upgrade abilities. Edit: Who is your favourite to use? Also just wondering as I remember on the earlier levels my missions got stuck on taking out enemies with the yoyo. Which I’m sure is the 3 spinning round things around you? But it never seemed to make progress for me. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #6 macplash, Jul 16, 2022 I haven’t picked a favorite yet, but for the Railyard it’s definitely Yatumi. I can make and stack up like 3-4 slime boulders eventually and they’re destroying everything in their way and I’m left to do nothing just to collect batteries and watch my multiplier score growing. I need to try Yatumi in larger area if the strategy applies there as well, but that slime boulder is just great. On that yoyo thing mission, just read the description carefully. If I remember correctly, only destroying robots count to overall progress. I suggest to upgrade the power-up duration capability which makes these missions so much easier to complete. ste86uk likes this. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #7 ste86uk, Jul 16, 2022 @macplash I’m sure you’ll beat me again soon, still got quite a few upgrades to get yet that should help more. It started getting pretty hectic and the guard got me rather than running out of batteries on that one. Thanks for your idea of using that character in this small map it definitely helps here. I was hoping my reign's gonna last a bit longer than a few hours, LOL. That's a helluva score you got there! I'm glad that strategy worked so well for you. I wish there were proper leaderboards (as a matter of fact that goes for more Apple Arcade games), just to be able to compare scores with others. Anyway, I don't think Imma beat your score anytime soon, but it's a good thing to have a goal to reach eventually. I really like this game!
