I have been playing the beta for months, and I’m definitely loads better than when I started. I also love that your account for Race syncs with King Rabbit - Puzzle, so your skins and rings are all available in both. Anyways, y’all should come check it out. The first, let’s say, 3 people from here that come DM me in the King Rabbit Discord AND get Verified will be given a free rabbit skin! Anotherkellydown likes this. I almost deleted it instantly but remembered I liked the older games so paid up to remove ads and it felt much nicer to play, I suspect a lot of players won’t be so generous. Also for a game thet relies on quick restarts having to watch the slow 321 everybround grates a bit. Actual game though seems nice once the intrusive ads removed Jerutix likes this. Especially since the screen moves so slow at the beginning anyway, you don’t really need a lot of time to get going. I’ll deliver that feedback to Brian and Austin. Anotherkellydown likes this. I also liked their older games, so I am ok with it, but man those ads really hit you hard for a game where you lose so quickly. Now I am tempted to pay for these unique rabbits, but I guess you can also grind to get them. It looks like the rabbits have been capped at a minimum sale price cause they are priced so high in the market. Fun game though. Maybe I will be able to save my coins or diamonds and afford a rabbit if I stick with it or just fork over the $3-$10. Jerutix likes this. I totally accept that devs should get paid and not give away games for free, and I'm no fan of ads or loot boxes, but the actual game feels a bit thin here. It's enjoyable but nothing great. Maybe that will come over time but I feel its a bit cynical, even giving you al the same white rabbit so it's hard to see who you are at the start feels like a design to make you buy something. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 703 113 #7 anthony78, Jun 17, 2022 Last edited: Jun 17, 2022 Was going to delete this comment but guess it was too late. Anyway this game isn’t for me. I honestly am not a fan of how RareSloth has gone down the path of subscriptions and the like. Immediate turn off for me. And I’ll steer clear of any game with that kind of monitization. Jerutix Well-Known Member Nov 3, 2009 1,754 65 48 Male Ministry Oklahoma https://www.discord.gg/kingrabbit #8 Jerutix, Jun 17, 2022 I think the thinness is a valid criticism. I anticipate more modes in the future, which the devs have talked about. They are pretty long term invested in this, so, from my experience, if they say it will happen, it will happen. Of course, I can also understand wanting more in a product on official release than good bones that need more flesh. That said, it's hard for me to separate it from KR - Puzzle, which makes it feel more robust. Since the account is shared across the two games, I have enjoyed how the earnings from each feed in to each other in different ways. I will also say, that "game hung off a marketplace" is probably somewhat true. A lot of us who are heavily invested in the game and the Discord server tend to really really enjoy the marketplace aspect as almost a third game. Gotters Well-Known Member Oct 27, 2016 114 31 28 #9 Gotters, Jun 19, 2022 I've played a bit of this over the last few days and stand by my initial observations, but I'll expand my view on the actual gameplay. The actual races, and by this I really mean the daily challenge, are good fun. I've put a bit of time into getting a better score each day and it's quite compulsive once you get into it - the BIG caveat on this is that I've paid to remove the ads, with ads I imagine it being soul crushingly tedious and I totally sympathise with anybody who'd bin it very quickly. 3 quick deaths then one of those hateful ads with a progress bar, fake app store page then a 5-4-3-2-1 countdown to quit is just so ugly and kills any user experience. The devs really need to work on smoothing out this intro to the game as it's hard enough to get people to download something, to keep them is probably even harder. I find some of the graphics a little 'scruffy' and it's not always obvious what will kill you or is safe, takes a bit of trial an error to learn this. Overall I quite like this, but with massive caveats and my earlier observation standing that it feels like a fairly thin game at present hung off a marketplace, albeit a game with potential to expand and get better. Gotters Well-Known Member Oct 27, 2016 114 31 28 #10 Gotters, Jul 5, 2022 I've kept going in most days and appears this has tanked if the daily leaderboard is anything to go by, less than 100 entires and I think today is about 60-70. The core game is actually fine, it just lacks any real purpose/structure or variety so it feels a bit pointless. With a bit of work could see it being more popular but not sure how quickly the devs pull the plug if it tanks. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
