The animations / UI are super high quality and the art is fantastic. Also it makes really good use of phone vibrations when interacting with menus - it feels nice. I've figured out like 80% of the mechanics but some stuff still doesn't make sense. It's also definitely a more hardcore game. Which is a good or bad thing. You can't just play any attacks you want, you always have to hit weak points to get more actions the following turn. So some people may like it, some people may not. There's a lot more strategizing than your average card game, especially since you have to keep buying healing items to keep up your dungeon runs. The main gripe is that it's easy to get lost in dungeons. I wish there was an indicator to already visited areas. You'll end up going backwards tons of times and when you run into random battles your health will slowly diminish. There's tons of cool mechanics with equipments, deck items, skills, learning new abilities, etc. It's a very well thought out game. desito and Ijipop like this. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #8 L.Lawliet, Apr 17, 2022 Already spent a couple hours in. It gets really addicting. The story is pretty bare bones unfortunately, mainly because the translation is so bad. But luckily the gameplay mechanics are better translated. There's really a ton to do gameplay-wise. You can keep exploring / grinding endlessly but it's not easy at all. Also, you can equip items that need battle exp to permanently learn special moves + stat upgrades. Then when you're done, swap that item to another character and repeat. Then you can teach them combos but you need to equip items / weapons with those applicable moves, etc. Lots a depth that it takes a couple hours to really sink in. adamphetamine, desito and Ijipop like this. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #9 L.Lawliet, Apr 20, 2022 Admittedly I've gotten incredibly addicted to this game. At first it was pretty hard but now it's just fairly hard. With more understanding of the mechanics, it's a lot of fun and there's so much character building to do. The designer of the game really thought out so much of the game play mechanics. The story is interesting but isn't a factor because of the "Google Translate" english but you get the gist of it. Learning new skills, upgrading your character, and just barely winning ridiculous boss battles are the best part. Also, this game has some of the best mobile game music I've ever heard - it really makes me feel like I'm having an epic battle. Long story short, it's hard to get into at first but after a couple hours it becomes hard to put down. A sleeper hit for me personally. Alex DeLargest, desito and Ijipop like this. Enjoying it so far but what I really want to know is how to slot those app things on your gear. Most of the mechanics I kinda understand (horrible UI and lack of visual cues to whatever you’re doing isnt helping much either). I hope there’s a patch to improve the English translation of the instructions, the enemies are getting tougher and I dont think I’ll be able to continue. I mean if this keeps up I’ll have to dig myself into a downward spiral with Siralim Ultimate again and God knows how long I’ll decide to come up for air (if ever). desito, hyuei and Ijipop like this.
