Controls and combat are incredibly smooth, the game is gorgeous, initial soundtrack is fantastic and it’s wonderfully polished. I’m still very early in so I’m still being handheld through the menu and whatnot, but I’m genuinely stoked to see how much the game opens up. Glad I took the plunge! Holy hell it’s so freakin fun I didn’t know my life was missing this until I started playing it LeoMoraes Active Member Jul 15, 2017 27 8 3 #8 LeoMoraes, Feb 4, 2022 I can't find this information anywhere :/ So far, the game has good character design (apart from the stereotypical women) and beautiful, well-crafted animations. But for the metagame, I can feel a huge sense that this game was made to be free. It's a hunch, but I won't be surprised if this game gives up the price tag. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 703 113 #9 anthony78, Feb 4, 2022 Last edited: Feb 4, 2022 There has been a premium version of this on Steam (without the Ex) since 2018. So could be legit in terms of not going F2P. Like anthony’s sleuthing skills have uncovered, this game gained the pricetag…and it’s all the better for it. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #11 L.Lawliet, Feb 4, 2022 Okay this genuinely looks amazing. It reminds me of some of the older games from the early app store that no longer work. I think I'm just going to buy it. I'm a sucker for anime art as well. I hope it's good as single player since I probably won't touch multiplayer that much. This game looks like something I've been waiting for, for a long time. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,966 718 113 England #12 psj3809, Feb 4, 2022 Not a big fan of anime due to crazy big breasted women how does this work single player ? Is it you alone or are the other players computer controlled ? Looks like a modern golden axe or something L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #13 L.Lawliet, Feb 5, 2022 I opened it up and loved it. My only gripe is that enemies are kinda paper thin so when you combo them you end up walking through them and then attacking past them. But I can deal with it. One of the coolest things is that this game is customization heavy. So much to do in terms of collecting items, enchantments, looting etc. Best of all, nearly everything changes the appearance of your character. It's damn awesome. Your character can look way different than how you started out. It makes getting new equipment even more enjoyable. It also seems you can even just change the appearance of equips (the skin) without being forced to use a weaker item if you like the look. I already tried most of the characters and each brings a new playstyle. I also enjoy how their skill attacks almost all look over-the-top crazy. I've really been looking for a game like this PLUS it can be played offline. This game is my replacement for one of my favorite games, NeverGone, which no longer works on new devices / a new version appeared many years later that's just online only and added tons of f2p to it. I think NeverGone has a more solid gameplay (combo system) / focused polish but this one is probably overall better in terms of characters, visuals, and game content. But I'll have to keep playing more to see. adamphetamine likes this. sharfaust Well-Known Member Jul 1, 2013 339 75 28 #14 sharfaust, Feb 5, 2022 I game mostly on my iPad Pro, and with games like this one, controller support is important. The store page says it’s dragon spear, but the description says it’s dragon sphere. I don’t think this game has anything to do with Dragonsphere on steam, since the game on steam is a retro game that was released three decades ago. So, I have no idea where EX came from. Maybe the original was released locally in Korea? Btw that’s one oversized ballistics on sorceress. Right from the onset, it has the heart of a mobile game, and as such, we should be looking at it as one. As a mobile game, it works. The only thing I’d like to see implemented again are the difficult settings for the campaign mode - right now it’s too easy. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #20 metalcasket, Feb 5, 2022 Well I’ll be damned. Looks like it was a F2P mobile game that was ported over to PC and then ported back to mobile with this premium EX version. For what it’s worth, there’s been mention of a difficulty spike, and grinding (mentioning that the game does start off incredibly easy), so you may not have to worry about that. naghihimutuc likes this.
