As he overcomes his challenges, he gains self-confidence, becomes more cunning, and, along with it, finds more schemes to get past his foes. His epic journey will lead him through a remote monastery, a harsh and unforgiving stretch of desert, and a frontier town rife with crime and villainy. The journey begins when a farmer and her son are attacked by bandits who raze their farm to the ground. The mother decides to leave the boy at a secluded monastery to protect him. However, the place doesn’t feel right and he plans his escape. “El Hijo - A Wild West Tale” is a non-violent stealth game in which you rely on the mischievous, playfulness of a young child. Using the shadows to his advantage is the core element of the game, as “El Hijo” will often have to hide. Without needlessly adding new mechanics, the gameplay is extended naturally, as variations of existing mechanics are gradually introduced and then combined to increase the challenge. These twists on familiar mechanics are often a product of the varied, increasingly dangerous environments that “El Hijo” must traverse to reach his ultimate goal. FEATURES - Survive the Wild West with the cleverness of a young hero - Explore dark monasteries, deserts, and boomtowns in a spaghetti-western world - Merge with the shadows to hide from the lawless - Solve playfully tricky environmental puzzles - Use a playful arsenal of tactical toys to bypass and distract diverse desperados - Inspire other children towards the path to freedom - Enjoy the gripping storyline of a brave son searching for his mother © www.handy-games.com GmbH Information Seller:HandyGames Genre:Adventure, Family Release:Jan 25, 2022 Updated:Apr 07, 2022 Version:1.0.3 Size:1.2 GB TouchArcade Rating:Unrated User Rating:Unrated Your Rating:unrated Compatibility:HD Universal squarezero and Son of Anarchy like this. swoolf Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Jul 9, 2009 57 1 8 #2 swoolf, Jan 26, 2022 Does anyone have any feedback about this game on the iOS? metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #3 metalcasket, Jan 26, 2022 It's good stuff. Don't come into it expecting sandbox stealth gameplay like the Hitman games (the console ones, I mean), Metal Gear, etc. and you'll be pleasantly surprised. The gameplay takes on a more puzzle-oriented approach to stealth mechanics, but that doesn't mean it plays like Hitman GO, mind you. It's in no way a puzzle game. My only problem with the game is I tend to get stuck on the environment a lot (resulting in a metric assload of failure), but I could attribute that to never playing the game (so far) with the brightness up and/or under the right light circumstances...but then again I still haven't left the monastery. Overall, it's a beautiful violence-free game, with a heap of content (yes, 29 levels, but it takes an average of 7 hours to finish) and comes with all the bells and whistles you'd expect from HandyGames (yes, including, of course, flawless iCloud support). adamphetamine and Anotherkellydown like this. swoolf Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Jul 9, 2009 57 1 8 #4 swoolf, Jan 27, 2022 Thanks so much for the review. You know what I don't understand? Why the game blew up roughly an extra gig and a half with the latest update. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #6 ste86uk, May 12, 2022 I seen this is on sale, not a big sale but a sale nonetheless. Sales make me take a look at something I otherwise wouldn’t bother with but I’m surprised to see hardly anyone here playing this so it doesn’t give a lot to go on. Did you end up spending more time with it after your review @metalcasket ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #7 ste86uk, Nov 30, 2023 I seen this is down to just 0.99 and come to see what it says about it here and I see I was interested a while ago too. I guess I better buy it now. HG VAMPIRE likes this. (You must log in or sign up to post here.) Show Ignored Content Share This Page Tweet Your name or email address: Password: Forgot your password?
