Carve down the slopes in Downhill skiing, nip over to the Bobsled track for a hair-raising run, or aim for Olympic gold in the Slalom or Ski Jump. Each sport has its own gameplay mechanics and challenges. All simple, but addicting. Every discipline has a Single Event mode, for a quick fix of fun. Game Center is integrated, so you can challenge friends and attempt to break the world records. But the best way to play, is in each sport's Career mode. Compete in 20 events around the globe, each with slightly different challenges. Place in the top 10 to earn prize money, then use it to upgrade your equipment - for longer Ski Jumps or quicker Skiing or Bobsled times. The game offers several different IAP; some unlock every event, while there’s one (which I bought) that just removes ads. Now I’m wondering if I should have bought the one that removes ads and unlocks all the events, since I can’t seem to unlock anything other than the “Downhill” event even though I’ve got gold on almost all the slopes/locations. I also left a review after about 10 minutes of playing it for the first time because I was mixing up the left turn and right turn. I just asked if they’d consider an option to reverse the control direction. I’m already getting used to the default controls though, so by the time that were to happen it wouldn’t matter anymore anyway. Hopefully I can figure out how to unlock those other three events just through playing. I have a feeling they’re unlocked through IAP only though. If you want to experience the game as it was intended, I’d say go for the $3.99 “Unlock Everything” option. The only thing that bothers me with that is that all the better equipment is unlocked too.
