Even brought my Backbone to work I’m sure I’ll end up taking an “extended break” for this. Haha FYI - If you’re leaning towards buying, make sure you pick it up before the launch sale ends. In beta I 100%’ed it in 9-10 hours. Better with a controller though. Good game and worth the money imo. tjb Well-Known Member Aug 1, 2012 133 2 18 #10 tjb, Nov 10, 2021 Hoping for a quick update. Had a crash that forced my iPhone 12 to reboot itself. When I came back, I’d lost at least half an hour of play. A bit later, after closing the app for a reason and then coming back to play I’d again lost about twenty minutes of progress. It’s also doing the thing where it overwrites what I assume are cloud saves between two of my devices even though they use different Game Center ids. No way to turn cloud saves off. As I recall, their other game - the shop keeper one - did this same thing. So frustrating to lose big chunks of progress due to bugs. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #11 metalcasket, Nov 10, 2021 Ah crap. Just to clarify though, the shopkeeper one (Moonlighter) isn’t a Playdigious release. I thought I may have bought it already but after playing for a few minutes I realized it’s totally new to me. And it’s incredibly good. Some nice Zelda: ALttP vibes - just a little. Great graphics, scenery, and animation. Controls work flawlessly with the Backbone. I wish I had tested the touch controls but I just wanted to play it. And play it I did for a good hour, until I passed out on my chair (not from boredom - this is a regular occurrence during the work week). I had just opened the Workshop and Medical Facility. I just tested the touch controls and they seem to be perfectly suitable for this one. Even though this is a port, I have a feeling it’ll be on my GotY list. I like it that much. OddAlun likes this. [BTW: controller-wise the Gamevice works pretty good with Sparklite.] Anotherkellydown Moderator Staff Member Patreon Bronze Feb 10, 2014 4,581 1,134 113 Male CAD Technician I Upstate NY https://youtube.com/channel/UCcvu9xhE7xT-mZrXUZQJr5g #14 Anotherkellydown, Nov 10, 2021 I haven’t used it yet since I have air pods. Maybe @squarezero can speak to that. Sorry for all the tags lately, squareZ. This game is great. Left a five star review on the US App Store. I beat the first Titan and have been unlocking new gadgets, upgrading the shops and collecting and stacking the patches I’ve collected. Also have caught a few Beats. I have the crossbow and floating bomb and have been exploring the second zone (I think it’s called Sunshine Forest?). I’m fully in the AirPod camp these days, so I haven’t used the headphone jack. Maybe I’ll try it once I get (or 3d print) my iPhone 13 adapter. How do you steer the boom balloon? I am playing on an iPad. I have tried repeatedly and just end up frustrated and stupid. If you have any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. You just move left or right to make it turn. I was trying to actually steer it but it’s just the two directions. In fact, it may be up and down, I can’t remember off hand. But that should help a little I hope. justcorie Member Jul 17, 2012 5 1 3 #18 justcorie, Nov 11, 2021 Yes!! Thank you, thank you! That makes it sooo much easier. Anotherkellydown likes this.
