I encountered a minor glitch initially, where it was stuck on zero steps, but powering off my phone solved the problem and it retroactively restored my prior steps. I’m optimistic that it’ll keep me active. Aka Pokemon GO. I'd love to find something more casual that I can just check in once or twice a day and it gives me something based on my step counter. If this is just more Pokemon GO GPS with the app constantly open then I probably wouldn't be interested. Edit: I tried starting the app but it says you need to give it "allow location access always" unfortunately. Sounds like it just keeps the GPS on forever like Pokemon GO. I was really hoping you could just use it with your device step counter without the GPS. It seems to me that the game is reliably catching up my steps to the health app it asks to share data with. I allowed full, unfettered access. (I seem to be getting the steps, but I also use Apple Watch so I don't carry the phone with me..especially when still working from home.) Like you, I'd like a low maintenance "game" that tracks steps when walking the kids to school. Seems designed for a community to tackle. I barely made a dent solo. I’m also the only player I’ve seen in any of the four towns I’ve played in, and particularly my hometown. I’m hoping community doesn’t become too important later. I just hit level 15 and gained access to challenges, where your squad destroys some mushrooms- also intended for multiplayer. I only 1 star them solo. Probably not worth a devoted effort, but it’s a nice bonus for making sure I pass by flowering once a day or so. andsoitgoes likes this. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
