Am curious to know how the IAPs work. Pagan Fox Well-Known Member Jul 20, 2012 476 32 28 #3 Pagan Fox, Sep 30, 2021 Last edited: Sep 30, 2021 Its a one-off IAP to unlock the full game. Price is £2.49 which seems pretty decent. Edit:- There are other IAP's for various nexoboxes, boosters, traps etc which seem separate from the full game unlock. Will have to see if you can play the game without resorting to paying for the IAP to progress, especially the traps! L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #4 L.Lawliet, Sep 30, 2021 Judging by the trailer, this looks like a really good quality game. If I can make room I might buy it. Glad it's a premium release IAP. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #5 L.Lawliet, Sep 30, 2021 Here's a great 3 minute review of Nexomon Extinction. I have to say, just the art quality is enough to make me want to buy it right away. You'll rarely find this kind of quality in a mobile "pokemon knockoff". Pagan Fox likes this. Dropped the $2.99 for the full title. I don’t regret it. Super polished, clean and crisp graphics, a boat load of monsters to collect, and it looks like the iAP are primarily for things that simply speed up progress and are in no way necessary…… yet…… the presence of the multiple different iap does make me a little nervous but I’m gonna hold out and see how things develop, so far this is an extremely polished monster catching RPG, granted, it is a Pokémon clone….. but it is a good one. sakara214ever likes this. sakara214ever Well-Known Member May 10, 2012 1,262 168 63 #8 sakara214ever, Oct 1, 2021 Exactly. I am getting demolished by attacks that are "not effective", usually 2 shots against my water type, and Im getting wiped out. Whats more is, my monsters are leveled up to where I believe they SHOULD be (as I have done for every other fight) and Im getting crushed. This is where those other iAP are going to become necessary i think, there are multiple boosters as well as boxes that you can just outright purchase higher tier nexomon with cash. I really REALLY Wish mobile would stop getting these ham-strung iAP loaded hack jobs because it seems like the balancing on mobile and console are different, and it seems it’s done on purposes to influence the use of the iAP. I’m open to being wrong…. But….. just seems shady af. pathogen541 Well-Known Member Jun 19, 2016 503 355 63 #11 pathogen541, Oct 4, 2021 no, they don’t go away. They stay there the entire time and they really become a massive eye sore, and what’s worse is, they almost become enticing after a while: there is DEF a difficulty spike at the second boss that knocks the snot out of you, and I’m wondering if it’s that way on consoles, because my understanding is the console versions do NOT have IAP…. Which leads me to believe the IAP are included because there is a wall coming up. So tired of this. We paid $2.99 to unlock the rest of the game but I’m feeling like I’m going to have to drop money on all the boosters just to make this game NOT a total grind fest. Super disappointed because up until this boss, it was awesome. This just feels intentional. Lanster27 Well-Known Member Apr 20, 2017 65 10 8 #12 Lanster27, Oct 4, 2021 If you guys have played the first Nexomon, it's pretty much the same forced IAP. Sudden difficulty spike makes you want to buy IAP. Also the rate you get balls and money is so slow, also prompting IAP. Also you cannot catch any legendary nexomon, only available in IAP. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,126 703 113 #13 anthony78, Oct 5, 2021 So are the difficulty spikes a lot higher than the console versions? If so, I wish I had passed on getting the “full game” IAP. I haven’t had as much chance to play yet. ShinHadoukin Well-Known Member Feb 20, 2015 970 141 43 #14 ShinHadoukin, Oct 5, 2021 So, what does, "buy the full game 2.99" actually buy? pathogen541 Well-Known Member Jun 19, 2016 503 355 63 #15 pathogen541, Oct 5, 2021 From what I have been able to gather, yes, the difficulty spike is much greater on mobile than Console. Console does NOT have the IAP that mobile does, nor do they have those obnoxious floating buttons that shove IAP in your face the entire time you play. I was so hopeful this would be something different than the other monster catching RPGs on iOS, but it seems like its just the same. Except you have to pay $2.99 before you can hit the pay wall....... pathogen541 Well-Known Member Jun 19, 2016 503 355 63 #16 pathogen541, Oct 5, 2021 the ability to hit the pay wall sometime shortly after the first chapter wraps. Its a genuine shame. pathogen541 Well-Known Member Jun 19, 2016 503 355 63 #17 pathogen541, Oct 5, 2021 here ya go. A handy video explaining the differences. Mobile is definitely different than console. In my opinion: it’s not in a good way. Sounds the console version is actually a fairly competent monster catching RPG…. Sounds like mobile is too…. If your willing to spend money on the iAP….. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,126 703 113 #18 anthony78, Oct 5, 2021 Kind of funny. I saw a dev reply to a bad review on iOS that said the game was not designed to force IAPs and that it’s completely beatable without them. Also said the capture rate was exactly the same on mobile as console. Not sure if they’re lying or what. Would be nice if they showed up here. pathogen541 likes this. pathogen541 Well-Known Member Jun 19, 2016 503 355 63 #19 pathogen541, Oct 5, 2021 def seems a bit deceptive. I hate to say it but it def feels like there is a pay wall. And the inability to turn off those eye sore buttons advertising the iAP is super frustrating. Lanster27 Well-Known Member Apr 20, 2017 65 10 8 #20 Lanster27, Oct 5, 2021 I mean, they are probably correct that you can just grind and grind until you eventually outlevel any boss fights. I remember the first nexomon was the same, lots and lots of grinding just to beat the 2/3rd boss that I just dropped it. Also because in the first one legendaries were only available in premium boxes, it was kinda pointless to play. Half the fun is catching rare mons. Imagine playing Pokemon and all the legendaries in the game you have to pay for, on RNG as well. Sure you can take your starters to the end, but what's the fun in that? Shame though, they could have just made it a higher price premium mobile title like console version. But instead they went the extra effort to make it F2P and P2Progress. pathogen541 likes this.
