Combatants is a free, two-player card game for the iOS, that can be played solo or online. Basic rules: Players start with 10 health. Eight cards are dealt to each player. The five slots in the arena (nearest the player) need to be filled. Drag and drop the cards as needed. Tip: Double tap a card to see it zoomed in. Tap once more to return the card to normal size. Start attack round: If it is your turn, top up your hand so that you have three cards. Fill any empty slots in the arena. From the cards in the arena, select one of your cards to attack and an opponent’s card which will defend. When attacking, the opponent’s card is turned over, exposing it. The card with more heart wins* and the loser is shattered (discarded). In the case of a tie, both cards are shattered. If there is an empty slot in the opponent’s side, you may be able to damage your opponent directly. *There are some exceptions - for example, an Assassin card with 1 heart can defeat a Titan with 10 heart. Damaging your opponent criteria: There is at least one empty slot in your opponent’s arena You have a card in the arena that indicates the number of coins it will cost to deal damage You have enough coins to spend on that card If you meet the criteria above, you may choose to damage your opponent this round. For each coin you spend, one point of damage is inflicted on your opponent. Tip: Each card will indicate the number of coins on the top of the card. Some cards cannot damage an opponent. Each coin shown on the card indicates both the cost and the amount of damage you can deal. One coin = one point of damage. Two coins = two points of damage. Three coins = three points of damage. Earning coins: If you were able to beat an opposing card earlier in the round, you now earn one coin. A tie does not gain you a coin. Play moves to the next player and a new round begins. Winning: Continue until a players health reaches zero at which point a victor is declared. Special abilities: Some cards have special abilities, such as the “Assassin”, “Poison”, “Spy” and “Blob” cards. See the card details for more information. There is one in-app purchase available – an upgrade pack which includes three new and unique cards, plus the removal of ads. houseofg and vectorarchitekt like this.
