I played for a few hours and spent the majority of my time dealing with ads and navigating menus to complete "achievements." Already deleted. It looks like it COULD be a decent game, but the main game is 40% or less of what you'll be doing. It lacks the variety and challenge you find in games like Pirates Outlaws or Slay the Spire. Even if they toned down the distractions, it doesn't stack up to what else is out there. I love this genre though, so I'll probably revisit it in a few months and see if they've made changes or updates. There’s a real-time competitive mode which is quite fun, you all play the same level and see who gets to the end the quickest, if not the furthest. That's like paying that sculptor for $60 for that sculpture then one day he just removes it from your house and you can't do anything about it. If I'm going to pay $60 I would probably just buy the physical disc with case, but that defeats the purpose of the AppStore so lower prices will entice people to buy for mobile. I've paid for hundreds of premium and online games, many which don't even show up in my purchases anymore. Many of the online games are just dead. If I bought games physically or Steam even, I don't have them disappearing from my house. Online games still won't work but the app store is being driven into "online-only" territory for past many years, even for single player games. Most of my newer games are single player games save for "friends lists" + gacha and they're all online-only. It is not unique just to mobile, even though it is fifty billion times more likely to happen on mobile. That doesn't mean the game should therefore cost less. Is a game breaking or being removed or having its servers shut down acceptable at $10? But not $20 or $30? What price is that acceptable at? The answer is it should never be acceptable. BUT ANYWAY, none of this has to do with my original comment. The irony here is that people are worried about long-term support, yet the best chance of getting long term support is by generating ongoing revenue by using a monetization model like this game is using. I don’t think it always means $10 I Know for me it wouldn’t mean that. I would be happy to pay whatever a game costs. Video games are by far the best value you can get when it comes to entertainment. If you take the average entertainment being a movie and it’s like $17-$25 for a movie ticket plus the food you get like $30-$40 per person for 2hrs of entertainment. Video games offer way more hrs of entertainment per dollar. That being said I hate games with tons of in apps. I just feel like I never know what I’ll own of it. How much currency I’ll need or how much grinding. I wish I could just pay a full premium price and own a game. And I don’t think games should be endlessly supported or updated. Back In the day you bought an nes game with huge glitches for $50-$80 and there was no such things as updates lol. I just don’t like freemium or these new style of pay to play markets. I don’t like adds and I hate this new subscription model in games. I’m old School. I like physical games for my switch where possible. As for this game it looks like it may be fun. But for me I don’t want to invest time in something littered with in apps. Especially not when I can play many good games of this type premium. I do wish their was a premium option. Even if was like buying a switch game, which here can be $79.99. If I’m going to spend 100hrs on it then it’s a no brainer even at $80. I thanked you in an earlier post. And I do appreciate what you do for the site. That being said at times I see you take things personally or even be a bit rude to people on this site.
