I’ve tried 10 times and I haven’t been able to kill the first mini boss (basically the fourth encounter in the game). I was hoping this was more Diablo than Souls, but no luck. Same lumbering, clunky combat, same overpowered bosses that are you are supposed to feel great about finally defeating. I guess this genre is just not for me — all I get is frustrated and angry. We haven't received a whole lot of feedback, but what we have received has really been able to help with the balance patch we are preparing. It's also helped fix some critical Unity language and date/time systems bugs as well as key spamming issues, of which the rollout will happen in a day or two. Regarding the balance patch, it will likely allow for players to play more selectively, stealthily, and swiftly. Here are some areas that we think we will address: 1. Reduced parry cool time 2. Enemy aggro radius and line-of-sight 3. Player run speed 4. Optimal repositioning/addition of statue checkpoints 5. Statue activation while in combat status. We think this will alleviate the difficulty of progressing through the game. But the boss fights are still going to be somewhat challenging. We appreciate giving us a chance by playing the game, and for commenting. Thank you. One of the programmers wants to work on a roguelike for our game. Revenant isn't flashy, is paced differently, and there are a lot of stats and load-out balancing that have to be done to progress.
