The Rush Rally series has always been the top choice for rallying on iOS, and Origins continues that. Not actually played it yet (work, family, etc) but been giving the other Rush Rallies a good thrash in anticipation. Such a shame really was very much looking forward to this. elcrazy likes this. GPS Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2009 2,283 165 63 Australia #8 GPS, Aug 19, 2021 wow, that seems odd.. I have been playing for a while now ( testing as well), and haven’t experienced that.. you can adjust the placement and size of all the controls in the settings.. don’t know if that would help. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,716 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #9 squarezero, Aug 20, 2021 Haven’t had a problem either. Weird. elcrazy Well-Known Member Sep 19, 2017 707 562 93 #10 elcrazy, Aug 20, 2021 Arrgh ! This scares me. What are the control options ? Is it not standard driving controls ? Either tilt phone ? Wheel or arrows ? Is there acceleration and break ? What do you mean by only tap controls ? GPS Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2009 2,283 165 63 Australia #11 GPS, Aug 20, 2021 Don’t panic! There are accelerator and brakes, with left and right arrows or a steering wheel, there is also tilt with accelerator and brake. The “tap” is instead of a handbrake, you give a quick tap to either the accelerator or brake to initiate a drift (same effect as a handbrake). elcrazy Well-Known Member Sep 19, 2017 707 562 93 #12 elcrazy, Aug 20, 2021 Ahhh ok. I actually kind of like that method. Tap and hold to drift is fine with me…. I think. I guess depends on how well it’s implemented. But I think I’m gonna give it a try. It’s only $6.99 and the graphics look beautiful. orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #13 orangecan, Aug 20, 2021 Yeah I’ve moved/adjusted a few times, made it slightly better by increasing the button size but I still get issues - not constantly by any stretch but enough to make it annoying and frustrating. Rush Rally 2 still exists on iOS because everything’s still good with the code and whatnot, but I wouldn’t recommend picking it up at this point beyond dipping your toes in the RR universe (since it’s ridiculously cheap), but unlike RR2, “Origins” is not a replacement to Rush Rally 3. It’s the perfect companion piece. Mind you, I’m not saying “Don’t check out Origins” if you’ve never played 3…it’s quite the contrary, this thing is amazing! It’s just…if you love this, do both. This is quite similar to the reckless racing series, it’s probably more realistic.. definitely not a sim, but not as arcade as the reckless games.. I feel like you will enjoy this.. The thing that really gets me to grab this, is the quality of the game, and it’s made by a one man “team”. The developer is open to feedback and is always trying to improve his games… And it’s premium, pay up front and you are done. ste86uk likes this.
