The action looks incredible, character designs are cool, and has some of my favorite voice actresses. I guess it'll depend on how it feels when I play it and how the first 10 roll of the gacha treats me. I may do a few rerolls but if it's bad I might just give up (like I did for Genshin, which is actually good since that game is a huge time sink with very bad gacha rates). Random comment, I think the app icon looks beautiful. I always like nice app icons. I'll give it a couple more days but my first impression is very positive. I think it has the best design for mobile action interface with a very fun attack system. I did spend many hours rerolling. Didn't get any S rank but you get a pre-reg selector ticket to pick any S rank you want. I guess I got greedy but rerolling takes quite a long time so I may stick with an A rank unit I like. I've gotten addicted rather quickly... Graphics are super nice too (and tons of settings to probably help with battery). I REALLY wanted to install ios15 to get the new safari but looks like it's a good idea I waited. Still not enough support for it yet. As for the Genshin comparison, I'm not sure. I heard the pity system and rates are better in PGR. However the game isn't open world like Genshin. It's more similar to their other game Honkai. Basically you go to stages instead of one gigantic map. To get an S-rank on the beginner banner is incredibly low odds and the most reasonable thing you would do is aim for a nice A-rank where the odds aren't that low. But that seems to be a meta pick based on future content. I've also heard that it's mainly relevant if you are doing ranking and want to stay very high. For most of the game with PVE, Kamui matters less, though he's still quite strong. I played him on one of the story levels and he's pretty badass. But I always go for the girls so I might ignore the meta and just pick a character I like visually then trying to maximize my output. ------ Also there's one thing to note. The beginner banner gives you a guaranteed S rank for 40 pulls so people have suggested waiting to do that first before you use the selector in case of a dupe. This is the most efficient but saving up for that banner will take a long time. + save your black tickets (main currency) for new characters.
