You gotta check it out. I guess it is an incremental game where you get supplies, craft things and expand on your island further until IDK yet. There are random 5 sec ads that show up from time to time but not obtrusive. It is def worth checking out. I have rather mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, it’s fun and I got a lot of time out of it. On the other, grinding and unlocking the upgrades feels dreary. Which is largely due to how things are presented instead of the mechanics themselves. Here’s an example: You’re chopping trees with your wobbly starting axe. Then you tap on a bigger tree and it tells you you need a level 2 axe to proceed. Makes sense, right? Bigger tree = better axe needed. A few hours in, you get to a tier of tree that’s visually identical to the previous two but inexplicably requires a level 5 axe. The one that really got me was swords though. (Spoiler free). There’s a second half of the game that’s entirely different to the first, where you go through enemy filled areas to fight them and unlock rarer materials. These start out really fun and even though they get harder the further you go, you can “outsmart” the enemies with hit-and-run tactics. I felt like I was getting into dangerous territory, at a point where I wasn’t meant to be because I was underpowered for it. And then I tapped on an enemy which popped up with a speech bubble that said “level 12 sword required”. Boom, dead end. Even if the sword would only take 1% health off each enemy it would’ve felt better. But you know what? I simply left and kept grinding until I got that damn level 12 sword, so clearly I’m a sucker for gated incremental progression. Fun game. Anotherkellydown likes this. My sword is level 9 and I am hoping there is an ending and this is not just open ended so my grind for materials is worth it. I am liking it though. I had dreams that there was a 2nd island, or third but I am guessing not. Sounds like there is an ending based on your post about finishing it. Yes! @Anotherkellydown I've gotten down to floor 14 so far. Anotherkellydown likes this. It’s an endpoint, then the game fades to a screen promising more content. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
