Better than Albion online? ShinHadoukin Well-Known Member Feb 20, 2015 970 141 43 #4 ShinHadoukin, Jun 17, 2021 Not a fan of the movement so far. Will have to see what a non-subscription player can do. JasonLL Well-Known Member Feb 21, 2014 546 106 43 Male #5 JasonLL, Jun 17, 2021 A ton of lag on my iPad Pro 10.5, so much so that I uninstalled a few minutes after creating an account. I know my device is getting up there in age but visually it doesn’t seem like a game that would perform bad especially since Albion Online is also a really nice looking game and that performs much better even with the settings turned up a bit…hopefully Jagex iron out the issues. Albion is a “high fantasy Eve Online” that is less quest oriented and direction based and more about finding your own way. RuneScape is more quest structured (basing this off of OSRS) and more solo friendly. In Albion, much like Eve, there is a lot of danger with actual players in certain areas. While both games have PvP areas, from what I’ve read so far, Albion is much more focused on that than RuneScape. I guess what I’m saying it’s very much apples and oranges. Same. Definitely would have preferred vstick even though OSRS has that same tap to move style. From the tiny bit I played of this game it seems like a virtual pad or some other sort of touch movement would feel more at home. Gambler likes this. And YES, tried Albion for a few days and it's boring as hell even though it looks nice. Runescape runs perfectly so far on my 2021 ipad pro. sakara214ever Well-Known Member May 10, 2012 1,262 168 63 #8 sakara214ever, Jun 17, 2021 Game is unplayable in it's current state. It has 1-2 seconds response time on whatever you do (move open inventory choose gear etc). So much that it gets annoying. sharfaust, JasonLL and AltsKev like this. It's kinda confusing. They treat having a shitty quest objective system as a feature. Most of the time I'm not sure where I'm supposed to go and end up googling it. Bought the 3 month sub, trying to be supportive of a REAL mmorpg on ios. ShinHadoukin Well-Known Member Feb 20, 2015 970 141 43 #10 ShinHadoukin, Jun 23, 2021 I found it slow, glitchy, and the sense of humor is not funny to me. Now, that is just playing through the beginning. Also, logged in with my Runescape account & it says my character name is being used. As far as start-up appeal, Albion was better. However, I'm not playing a game that requires a subscription to have full access. I don't mind getting more stuff with a subscription, but not gameplay locked behind a subscription. I get it for PC players now carrying over to keep playing in their pocket, but mot mobile only. I have heard great things & it has a great community so I wish it well.
