Asp Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2017 769 196 43 #2 Asp, Jun 10, 2021 The most absorbing app I’ve used in a while; a construction set full of conveyor belts, machinery and tech trees. The UI takes some getting to used to - took about 30 minutes experimentation. There’s much to learn so components are introduced gradually, and quickly become more interesting with the addition of splitters and underground belts. Competitively priced at free, without ads. Purchases are available to buy decorations only and support development. Here are some recipes to get started:- Wood frame= 4 planks Copper wire= 3 copper ingots Iron gear=2 iron ingots Electromagnet=6 copper wire + 2 iron ingots Then it gets complicated. adin and Collin like this. I've downloaded it, but it'll be awhile before I have time to mess around with it. This has become so fun to try and figure out how to manage and when to upgrade. Found out the hard way that once you start getting extractor upgrades to lvl 3 it gets pretty backed up if you don’t plan ahead for the newer amount of resources lol So far I’m about to make concrete and motors. I have got belts going quite a distance picking up coal and other resources. I’m starting to figure out that I might have made my hub too compact so I’m going to have to redesign it pretty soon which will be exhilarating now that I kinda know what is in store...kinda lol Overall, this game has been a great balance between difficult simplicity and disaster management (; FWIW 9/10 for me and GOTW! What I like is you can copy whole production lines or belt paths or buildings and paste them instead of having to build it all over again. Also you can select how ever many 1x1 blocks you want and delete them if you want. Once I realized that (on my second day lol) things got a lot less tedious on builds Asp Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2017 769 196 43 #10 Asp, Jun 11, 2021 I’m impressed with your progress of belts across the map. I’ve been biding my time making a lot of metal frames to activate upgrades, though I should be setting up lines to outlying resources at the same time. I only discovered today that the copy function could be used to duplicate whole production lines. Previously was just using it as a way of moving buildings, due to the lack of a move function. Also found the multiple delete by accident. Yes, saves a lot of time! I was wondering if you have found a use for the storage buildings? At present I can’t see any good reason for storing anything. Regarding hubs, I assumed there would only ever be one, but more would help ease congestion. orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #11 orangecan, Jun 11, 2021 Ok so now I’m struggling how to get the wooden frame recipe to work... I’ve got a workshop placed before it making wooden planks that then feed into the workshop making the frame. But all my planks just just pile up outside it and it doesn’t activate. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong? It’s placed the right way and everything. Any help appreciated please Asp Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2017 769 196 43 #12 Asp, Jun 11, 2021 Has your second workshop been set up with the recipe to produce wooden frames? Check and make sure. Sometimes the workshops do seem to get stuck though. Resetting the recipe can help, or delete and replace the last belt leading into the workshop. Also be sure that there are only planks on the conveyor belt. Anything else, such as a few logs, will jam up the workshop. InsuranceMan Member Mar 27, 2013 20 1 3 #13 InsuranceMan, Jun 11, 2021 I can't put this game down! I love finding and fixing little inefficiencies in the supply chain. For some reason it's really satisfying to watch all the little materials shuffle around. Couple of tips: You will need LOTS of wood and coal. Like, a ton. Eventually, sand becomes important in large quantities. I ended up using two or three supply lines next to each other to move raw materials (wood, ore, etc) to my buildings. Upgrading the conveyor belt speed was pretty important for me. I had several workshops just pumping out gears. If the dev is listening: Maybe an undo button, in the settings menu or something? More than once have I had too much selected without me knowing, and trashed a LOT of stuff at once. FANTASTIC work, thank you! adin likes this. orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #14 orangecan, Jun 11, 2021 Another stupid error on my part - I was feeding logs into it as well which was causing the problem. Thanks for your help! Asp Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2017 769 196 43 #15 Asp, Jun 11, 2021 I posted your suggestion on the dev’s Discord site. Asp Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2017 769 196 43 #18 Asp, Jun 12, 2021 Was wondering about that too, as I’ve not played Factorio, but will put it on my ‘to do’ list, along with Satisfactory. They seem like similar constructors with loads more stuff. No rush or clock just under optimal conveyer belt lines that used to work perfectly lol! You start with 100 gems and I haven’t unlocked any extra but they are used ONLY for decoration. They offer no other benefit, which is fine and completely optional. I bought some gems just to support the dev since they don’t have a donate button (; (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
