I can buy this game right now on my Switch Lite, which has a smaller and worse screen than my iPhone 12 (not to mention less poweful processors). But on iOS, Larian makes it iPad only. What gives? The screenshots look amazing and it does make me want to upgrade my device a bit more than before. If I were Apple I would actively help support a handful of higher end games with each hardware release cycle. But two reasons why nope, no more.. 1) I have the pc version waiting to be finished, (other games tend to get in the way), and... 2) My iPad runs on iOS and I’m not willing to gamble that in six months time, an Apple system update wont break it and sales don’t justify Larian fixing it. It has taken me a few years but I’ve finally realised (and experienced) that high price premium games are a risky purchase on iOS. downgrad3r, Admiral Bison and sharfaust like this. I feel Apple missed an handy feature there for displaying content out quickly without depending on airplay...but that’s another topic. I am VERY impressed by the game and looks crisp on the iPad’s large screen, come to think of it...I wonder if it will display out on a tv. *don’t mean to dig it in Admiral Bison Well-Known Member Apr 26, 2016 100 5 18 #20 Admiral Bison, May 19, 2021 2. Is a good point. You don’t want to spend heaps of money investing on a massive game library that in 5-6 years many of it is no longer available or able to run on your new and expansive iPad/iPhone. Apple is the one ultimately to blame. Updates are good, but what about legacy support or an environment for games/apps that are abandoned to be able to run. Like a backwards comparability? Just some other issues as to why it is hard for AA-AAA console/pc games to take off on mobile devices. Gambler likes this. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
